Reo should def start imo. So valuable as a player, so versatile too. And he has the skills to back it up.

I'm happy to see that people are accepting Isagi's Mc buff. Most fandoms I've seen that the Mc buff is like: "he's the MC so that's why he won." but for blue lock I feel like people are actually accepting the fact that Isagi is going to be strong

I think as a pure ST I like Shidou in that position because of his overall ability but I wouldn't mind Nagi in that position solely because of his talent and with Reo,Sae(if he plays for japan) and Isagi helping him out, he could easily be the most dangerous player on the field because IMO he has the highest ceiling and the greatest talent in blue lock, if not them then Isagi is the best choice and a close 2nd to Isagi is Rin/Kunigami with Barou as the wild card

I think kurona should be a sub. Even without flow or reflex he can keep up and link up with characters like Noa and isagi,we also know that in the second selection he was part of the same team as shidou. He probably has the highest chemical reaction ability than anyone in blue lock so far

I honestly respect where you placed all these players, you managed to justify how their skills and 'weapons' can make them ideal in the postions they play. I honestly like the way you envisioned where to play them, me personally I would have chosen different postions for most of the players, but we all have different opinions and perspectives in what we see fit for each individual player and team lineup. Really loved the video, not many make videos like these and I really enjoy watching them.

The U-20 game had me turning pages and reading faster than I’ve ever read a manga before, and I don’t even particularly like sports manga. It is so utterly captivating.

I absolutely agree kurasu is way underrated... Also with him and Aiku, Nikko and just a defensive triangle position that you have them in would absolutely squat on u20s what is it defensive wall formation.. like off ball movements, key passes would be shut down just between the three of them especially if they're all in Flow State

Since Sae probably won’t play for blue lock U-20 more than I think Isagi should be where he is. Isagi, is skilled at manipulating the field with his meta vision especially with how he is now. Shidou also probably wouldn’t get a starting spot, unless we see his personality change. Or if Isagi can take and use him like Sae. You could make Rin the main forward and maybe see where you could fit Nagi and Reo.

This is pretty solid it’s hard to replace any of these guys given the formation I think it’s probably as good as you could get and the subs make pretty good sense because replace shidou and sae with nagi and reo you aren’t losing anything in terms of goal scoring ability. Personally I would have barou on the bench at least.

Love the lineup. Should Sae decide not to play for the Japans U-20, I think the midfield trio should instead be Bachira/Isagi /Reo with Isagi playing a more CAM style. The #9 should then be Nagi. While I think Kurasu is incredibly underrated, Nagi/Reo offer incredible dynamic attacking options and if they continue to develop at the rate they have been (since they’ve only just recently started playing the sport) I think having them start is a no-brainer. Also, a lot of the players absolutely refuse to lose and I think id trust them to drop back and defend when needed, covering the area Kurasu would have been.

I think isagi should be somewhere in mid field since his vision is amazing and he is probably one of the best playmakers in blue lock who controls the field by themself moving players like chess

I always prefer the idea of Isagi being a midfielder. His spatial awareness is an overexaggerated version of De Bruyne's. Isagi can be the CAM and use the metavision to create chances and take chances. If Itoshi Sae is called up to the Japan National team, then Isagi should take the midfield spot in the U-20 team. I would put Barou as a starting CF since a combo of Rin, Barou and Shidou upfront would be unstoppable.

My biggest issue here is actually Aryu. 1stly bc he played at CB not wingback so his height and jumping aren't needed there and he's never shown the speed needed to get forward. I'd rather play either yukimya there for his ability to get forward and keep the ball, Otoya so that Karasu can cheat over and they can work together, but I think Miroku Darai would be perfect because he provides the defensive balance the team needs with Chigiri bombing forward. Everything else is damn near perfect, my only notes would be that I'd flip the midfield and simply let Karasu drop deep while setting up Sae in the middle to drift as he sees fit. As a player with meta vision he'll likely be able to use how he doesn't get along with Rin to create goals so I'm willing to trust that.

actually amazing list, only thing is I’d swap Niko for Reo or put Nagi in Shidou’s spot if Nagi has some sort of real awakening soon or if Shidou is banned from the national team for whatever reason

I feel like isagi should replace Bachira in midfield and Nagi should be the main striker. Nagi needs creative midfielders to play well. We already know how good Nagi can be with an inform Isagi. Pairing Nagi with Sae and Isagi will work out

when i saw that bench lineup i was skeptical about everything lmao especially nagi man. But i think i do agree! that is a monstrous starting lineup, its actually insane to think about

Only thing I'd say is to switch Aryu and Chigiri, just to improve Chigiri's offence with 44 Panther Snipe, while maintaing their defensive capabilities, also allowing for a chemical reaction between himself, Reo and Kunigami(should they both be subbed on) or between him, Bachira and Isagi ( and even Kunigami if Rin is subbed out for him) And to maybe switch Kunigami and Barou's sub positions to make use of Kunigami's new ambidexterity as well as allowing Barou to devour Isagi ( if he isn't subbed out) and allowing for a 3 way chemical reaction with Nagi at the RW. But then again, keeping Kunigami at LW and keeping Isagi in could cause a 4 way chemical reaction between him, Isagi (if not subbed out), Bachira and Chigiri (if he is the LB) But this was still an amazing list and thanks for the content. (p.s: I know some of my points contradict one another, just coming up with ideas).

I could possibly see Rin changing his dream to being the best midfielder, in order to shut down his brother Sae. His flow is to destroy others weapons horribly, which can possibly translate to destroying Sae's dream "horribly". I also have this suspicion that Sae knows something about Rin that Rin doesn't. Sae somehow knows that Rin isn't fit to be the worlds best striker. However through the entire U20 match Rin was the one breaking through, setting up plays, and keeping up with the strikers to further their plays. He plays more like a midfielder than a striker. to further this evidence, everytime he was showcased to take the shot, he either was barely off in aim, a goalie was able to clip his shot, or he was devoured by another striker (barou, isagi, etc).

I think Bachira should should play left winger (he will use his dribble to open up the opponent's defence) and Isagi should play midfield with Sae(because with Isagi's metavision he can get maximum from the midfield , he can be CAM ) , Rin should play right winger and no. 9 should be Shidou and rest is all good .

Keeping barou on bench is a good thing, but from what we've seen in the manga, I think the best would be to keep both him and Isagi on the field, he only give his best when he can "use" isagi. Plus, with isagi's new vision, that could lead to some new insane plays

Agree with all except Aryu. Aryu got not skills that are fit for the leftback position. A few skills u need are: Crossing, physicality(speed,power) So Tokimitsu or Hiori would be a better fit.

Playing Aryu as a Full back/Wing back is a HORRIFIC idea. Simply put, literally everyone will burn him, and in that position, going for an aerial battle will leave the wing WIDE open for free space to claim which is terrible for the U-20s. A better choice is the Ninja-guy, who we've seen is rapid af and can hold the ball well (which is all you need as a full/wing back really) Also, Bachira should play as a winger. His 1v1 ability is high-level enough to take on a wing/full back, and he's shown the ability to play passes after going past a player, which is perfect for the winger as its a guaranteed threat on goal immediately without commitment of 2 defenders, which destroys their defensive structure, whereas if he plays in the role you used (lcm) he has to penetrate through multiple layers of defense, which allows players who were behind to pinch the ball which nullifies Bachiras effect on the field

So 2 players I think are fairly under rated are Kurona and Hiori, I honestly think you put one of them in over Aryu, I feel like Hiori is one of the best passers in the manga so far and Kurona is very strong offensively while also being good in everything else.

seems reasonable but if i change some things that are isagi and shidou's position interchange or isagi can also play center mid and nagi replace the one name karasu or something i forgot and play right or left wing cause it would be awesome to see isagi sae and bachira initiating attack and they will have diverse and different attack styles from shidou power , nagi control and rin versatality but just my opinion overall your team is completely fine as it is

honestly, pretty good overall. The only nitpick I could make would be swapping Isagi and Shidou's positions since Shidou is the most forward player and Isagi was always a wing striker with a midfielder play style, Noa even praises him about his strength on that role since he searches for positioning advantage to compensate for not having the raw power that Shidou has with his superior physical performance

You should've at least put Kurona as a sub. He is a great passer and has great chemistry with Isagi considering he is the main forward of this line up. Plus, he finished 4th in the second selection.

I just caught up with the manga this morning and I completely agree with this list, well thought out.

I agree apart from positions, isagi at cm with kurasu and sae, midfielders usually dictate the game and isagi read of the game is what a midfielder needs. Bachira could play cm too but needed to fit him in and isagi. Bachira at rw as hes left footed and can dribble and pass, which will help with feeding the balls to the striker from the wing. Main striker has to be shidou, becuase of his insane finishing and positioning, which is what a striker embodies. Rin at left wing is perfect. Nikko at lb instead of aryu too as aryu is tall and strong which is useful for a cb.

Infinite stamina isn't as necessary for a bench player but the strength could come in handy.

I’d swap out aryu for nikko, Aryu’s height is better needed in CB and he doesn’t have the pace or technical ability for a fullback. I’ll have chigiri as Lb and kurona as a Rb. They both perfect modern day fullbacks that have pace, dribbling and crossing abilities. Then shidou undoubtedly the ST; purest goal scorer, physically and technically gifted for a lone ST, isagis prowess are more inclined to have him control the midfield. Put him rcm and rin Rw; with kurona there, all 3s chemical reaction would wreak havoc. Bachira slots into lw. His and saes dribbling and passing range would do as much damage as the right side. Chigiri on the overlap would also perfectly complement them with the option to cut in or cross as well. Then I see tokimitsu more as a dm, his strength, agility, scoring ability and stamina are better for a box to box midfielder than a fullback.

This setup the best I don't see this team losing. Heck I see them winning every game with a clean sheet

Isagi can only start up top if he's playing as a false 9 or a secondary striker. Remember, Isagi is average at damn near everything physically, in terms of pace, strength, stamina and the list goes on and that just won't work if you're essentially a CF in this specific formation. Leaving him up top in a 4-3-3 won't be efficient unless he drops back and links up with players, utilizing his vision getting players to link up via triangle while giving himself enough space to find gaps in the opponents backline. Even though Rin and Isagi have very similar playing styles, I think Rin would fit much better up top if we're considering going that route because he offers almost everything Isagi has to offer but instead of the spacial awareness he's a lot better at actually scoring and Isagi would have more chances to score volleys which is his bread and butter since he'll have more space to make those dangerous runs inside the box. To add on to that, I think Isagi would get more out of Bachira since they already have the chemistry, but he'd also get the most out of Aryu and Tokimitsu with his awareness, the overlapping runs would be pretty nasty and a Isagi switching in and out of wingback isn't a bad idea tbh. But even then I still think Shidou would be better as a striker since his whole thing is scoring. I know Rin and Sae would be problematic on the same side but at this point is doesn't matter since Shidou can literally just play the Haaland role, whoever has the ball feeds him so they don't even have to pass to eachother if Shidou is making the right runs. You can literally just send it somewhere inside the box and he's either scoring on the first touch or he's scoring off of second chances . Honestly, having either Nagi or Rin play as a super-sub for one another would be the perfect situation because they'll get more opportunities to get the ball at their feet, but you know they aren't going to go for that

Wingback is a different position but it’s likely to be how they actually play. But it’s called fullback So left back right back And the middle 2 are simply cb centre back

The 3 forwards are not who I was expecting at all. If it's gonna be like this, 4-2-3-1 is the better way to go. Isagi and Sae are great attacking midfielders wherein Isagi could advance further and act like a centre forward while the striker that could've been Rin or Shidou will be supported behind in case they underperform because of their "issues". Anyways, I like how Tabito is chosen instead of Reo. Reo is more of a central mid that can go up or down anytime because of his chameleon, but Tabito provides that analysis in even greater depth. The wingers could've been Kenyu, Otoya, or Kurona though, while Bachira as a CM is growing on me. I used to look at him as a winger. I play football by the way. But all in all, it's a very nice team.

I think that removing Niko to put Karasu in CB and adding Reo as CDM is the better play.

Barou needs to be out with Isagi for sure, also I think another U-20 defender makes the team over chigiri and he slots in on the bench but I guess you made it the way you do so it was sweet!

I would’ve played a 3-1-5-1 3 cb 1 cdm and the lm and rm and 1 cam and 2 cms but those 2 cms could also play as 2 cam one being central the other two being on the left and right. And then the striker up top. Probably playing Isagi as a 10 and the main cam. Rin as a cam one one side Sae on the other Karasu as cdm lm being chigiri and the rm being zanzetsu or someone speedy like that white haired fullback from u20. The 3 cb being aiku, nikko and aryu. The striker being shidou. Perfect squad in my opinion. The lm and rm can come back to defend obviously and make runs behind. A lot of focus on attack. Good defence. And karasu and isagi being central points of focus for the team

Reo in chap 202 definitely deserves that spot he has a sub now

I think Isagi shouldnt be forward most striker. We have all seen his most impressive goals have been devouring/invading spaces that were opened because of his vision(or at least spaces created by other players). He has almost never been the focal point of an offense, and rightfully so, because on his own he is slightly above average. He has rarely solo outperformed someone, unless you count Naruhaya as an accomplishment. Someone like Rin Shidou or Barou definitely need to be the focal point for his vision and space invasion to shine. That being said, I fw the Karasu praise, the guy is a technical monster, and he is one of the only NEL players to have a contract offer from the team he is on(PXG, which also has Rin and Shidou). For his skillset, his vision is something that people don't talk about enough; where Isagi breaks down an opponent/teammates abilities to emulate it, Karasu breaks it down to then destroy or limit its effectiveness.

Sae Kurasu Bachira overlap with their skills, putting someone who can do long shots there like Barou would be more ideal for me

It would be way better to switch isagi's posting with shidou because of how chaotic shidou is. And as we know, isagi's main weapon is his analysis and special awareness. He'd be able to see the position of his team mates way better i you switch him with shidou. And not to mention, it will also give isagi a lot of free space as the opposite team would prolly focus more on shidou and rin

I would include Nagi instead of Kurasu. To the Defenders I would put in Reo instead of Niko since Nikos ability isnt that usefell when you have a guy like Aiku around.

Imo if you made a team of blue lock players irl they’d be one of the nastiest national team the world has ever seen lmfaoo. The closest i can compare them is prime Germany in the 2014 World Cup. That team was absolutely dominating in every aspect.

For what I think would be the best formation would be: (starting from the beginning lineup shown in the vid or stop at 6:26) Chigiri and Aryu swapped since Chigiri would utilize and dominate the left wing the best to achieve "44" which was also shown by the Manshine C vs Bastard Munchen match. Then Aryu be replaced by Kurona who can easily use his turning ability to take the ball and sent it up the midfield plus kurona's the only one who right now other than Sae and Bachira the best possible player to link up with Isagi and if you're wondering how and why Kurona would work with a forward Isagi is going to be explained. So I would change Karasu and Isagi so that Isagi can act as an offensive Niko with meta vision to lead and link up the offense and defense also allowing Isagi to easily go back to stop a possible goal by the other team and simultaneously if the counter works then like the start of the most recent play with Noa right now in the manga, he can team up with Kurona Next Scrap Karasu being a striker and take him fully off the lineup with Shidou being the one in the Box since he was said to dominate and be able to score from anywhere in there. Now Put Rin where Shidou previously was because even though Rin and Sae don't work well there was an error in the video, since Sae is more right legged even though he is capable with his left- a right leg kick forward would go to Shidou and a right leg kick diagonally would go to now Rin's previous position Thus The Left Wing at the top corner would be open for.. REO I Believe Reo would be perfect for that spot since he has be trying to master a mix between Sae and Rin thus now being capable of being a striker Finally From the plan I've just finished, I would make the subs: Nagi who would replace Shidou as another phenomenal genius striker plus he could link with with Reo upfield, Barou can replace Bachira which would allow him to Isagi hunt easily due to Isagi's midfielding position and finally Tokimitsu can replace Rin since if Kurona or Sae can't get to Isagi or Shidou respectively they can make get to Tokimitsu who can then charge through the enemy's defensive live to get to someone who is available to to get a goal himself. Alternatively Bachira and Niko can swap positions so the entire midfield becomes like a control center of meta vision users since Isagi deducted and implied Sae had meta vision, Isagi obtained it himself and Niko was said to have the same "eyes"/ scent of the goal ability as Isagi which was just a subconscious version of meta vision so Niko would probably also obtain that ability. Also as for a bit of a complicated switch, Niko switches with Isagi in the midfield but Isagi takes Reo's forward position leaving Reo at defense where he could chameleon Aiku and make the ultimate defense.

If you put isagi in the striker position it should be as an false 9. He is just to limited in his ways of scoring to be a center forward. He can’t score through headers , normal shot , dribbling or any shot outside the box. His only way to score is through a direct shot
