Continuing the with the skull, adding all of the small details such as the CPU port, vents and other shapes and then finishing and polishing.
There's a lot of work condensed into this 20 minute video, it took me around 75 hours in total to get to this point (not including making the video itself).
In this series of videos I'm covering the building from scratch of a working Terminator T-800 robot (endoskeleton). No kits or premade parts involved, I'm going to be constructing all of it myself.

Unbelievable Peace of Art!!! Your a true Master and it's obvious that you know exactly how everything need's to look like and how you had imagined it in your mind. Those aren't skillz that you get over night, it's a long road of hard work and always trying to improve yourself. I simply love to watch your videos and I have a large respect for you and the whole project! can't wait for the next Episode, keep up the good work! best requards, Daniel btw.: sorry for my bad english, but I am from Austria :)

Thanks for your appreciation! Though I wouldn't call myself a master, I use too many different techniques to be able to really master any one of them, and it doesn't always come out exactly how it looks in my mind! I'm working on the next episode now and it should be out quite soon.

You know what you should do... make the cpu port open and pop the cpu chip up on a servo, that would look sweet 😃
@AndysMachines
@AndysMachines 4 жыл бұрын
The port does unscrew but there's currently nothing behind it. I might add a chip later but it depends how much space I have left, the skull is going to be full of servos and electronics controlling other things like the eyes.

Wow, thanks Jamie! I've been a fan of your channel for many years and you've provided me with the inspiration to have another go at this. I'm trying to keep everything as light as possible as I plan to add animatronics later, which is why I'm building it from sheet metal, but I may need to cast some parts. I'll be in touch if I get stuck on any of the details!

i wonder what % of this could be made from found partss, i see the tricep on the real guy looks like the bottom of a drum pedal
@AndysMachines
@AndysMachines 6 ай бұрын
For the original movie prop they used a lot of found parts and standard hardware parts, many of the small details on the skull are model RC parts, the recesses on each side of the skull are actually the gearbox casing from a Tamiya RC car. Not sure what they used for the arm pistons, but could well have been parts they found or adapted.

No, but I generally try to make the screw and threaded hole from different metals to avoid galling. stainless into stainless can be bad and aluminium into aluminium worse.
