Building Truth into Your Life - Dr. Charles Stanley

Truthfulness is an essential character quality for believers. When it’s lacking, both individuals and nations begin to crumble internally. Because Jethro understood this concept, he advised Moses, his son-in-law, to only appoint men to positions of leadership who feared God and hated dishonest gain (Ex. 18:21). But this character quality is not reserved only for the chosen few. We all influence others, so we must be people who know and speak truth.
In this sermon, Dr. Stanley explains how we can tell if we’re an honest person, the benefits of building truth in our lives, what happens when we fail to do so, and how we can integrate truth into our lives more.
Understanding truth’s importance is not enough. We can see from our past failures that dishonesty is never worth the consequences. Instead we must build honesty into our hearts and minds by recognizing truthfulness is a foundational principle for life, and filling our minds with God’s Word. Then, we will become trustworthy, reliable people whose words are true.

He sure struggled when he was little. Father died, stepfather not working out for him, Struggling mother on one paycheck for a time. No money when married. No good working car. His car story is pretty good.

When you call on JESUS to save you and admit your sin. When you believe JESUS is son of God and say all afore outloud. Then are saved. Ask JESUS to forgive you and he does all past, present, and future sin. He will not lose you. He tells you he lost not one God his father gave him. Jesus forgives all to his own. That is what his innocent blood covered.

I'm cleaning and organizing while listening to him and listening to sermons of all different kinds but I truly love this man's way if teaching us the word. Amazing and he's helped me grow closer to jesus because of the way he's taught me because it's descriptive and extremely helpful in guiding me! God sent him to help me, amongst others but def these sermons!!

But Dr. Charles Stanley wasn't called to be the president. Same with Billy Graham & his son Franklin Graham. They have listened & obeyed God to teach the word of God. I truly love these 3 men I mentioned. I cried when Billy Graham was called home. I know I will feel the pain in my heart when He calls Dr.Charles Stanley home. This is very hard to do but God says we are to rejoice & that's what we should do. They deserve to be at peace because they have spent their lives do what God called to do. I love this wonderful man & I pray that he is doing well. How many people do you believe would put a Preacher of God in the White House as President when most people don't believe in God? He's doing what he was called to do & loves to do. I saw almost 400 dislikes on this message & it pains me. 😥😥😢😢💔💔💔💔🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

After Billy Graham was called home,I found Dr.Charles Stanley & I knew that He was the one that God had picked for me. I love him & I pray he will remain my pastor until I'm called home. Ellen,I love how Dr.Charles Stanley uses his experiences & he doesn't shout & simply talks to us. I also love to hear him laugh. I also love how he always talks about his Mother. My Momma was called home 5yrs ago & last year my Daddy went to be with her & my younger brother/best friend. I haven't heard him speak of his wife. Do you know if she's passed away or divorced? I know he has Andy & Becky so there had to be a Mrs. Stanley. I pray you are well & have what you need. I'm so Thankful to have found you. 🙏💖😇🌹💛

I’m walking in the presence of God. I like that statement that Pastor Charles says about how Moses was paying attention to how he saw it as being as under control of our loving God. ❤ God tells Moses that “I will be with you”. I so need that truth always.

I remember when i used to lie and steal. I stopped stealing aged 19 but continued to lie well into my 30s. I used to gain so much from my lies, but it hurt so much as I yearned to speak the truth instead... I'm so thankful that God had not forsaken me during my years of lies. I love speaking the truth now. My truths has got me in trouble and many times it's hurt, but I can't go back to lying now. Praise God. Keep reading the word of God, trust Him with all your heart, mind, strength and soul. 🙏🏿
