Nestled in a quaint neighborhood of Bengaluru is a home where traditional art is an icebreaker for any conversation. This 3500 sq ft. three-story house is adorned with vintage arts and crafts and is an ode to sustainability. The art wraps around the stories of the users it hosts, from Chettinad doors, athangudi tiles, A serene Guruvayur painting of Ganesha, and Chennapatnam toys adding warmth to this humble abode where a couple happily spends their retirement life.
This film takes you inside Kaivinai where kai means ‘Hand’ and vinai means ‘crafted’ (Handcrafted) where architect explains the art of sustainability. Kaivinai reflects the clients’ and their love for arts and tradition wrapped around the walls and niches of the space.

Literally transported me to a vintage beautiful expansive culturally centric house. Didn't get a feeling of an apartment. Very well thought out interiors, the architect and the owners have put their heart into this abode. Well done. Enjoyed watching.

Absolutely beautiful. With minimal interiors and decors. Very vintage look. Not like few houses where the whole antique shop is displayed on the walls. Too many indoor plants and too many decor pieces are not at all used here. Such a peaceful vibe

Simple amazing! Very very asthetically done up...such proud display of their vintage antique collectibles in the most minimalistic fashion, every aspect of decor is thoughtfully curated as the name of the house suggests , the entire house gives a rich traditional look . I am thorougly impressed and inspired with the design . Kudos to the sustainability efforts taken by the interior designer and the architect . Congratulations for acheiving this outcome.

Simple design strategies and simple innovations that is sustainable and easy to understand, feel the idea behind it in contrast to today’s trends where you need to do a lot of marketing and explaining to put across your intent of the idea in first place. Wowwww❤❤❤ how do you pack so much beauty and colour and craftsmanship into a home and still it's an apartment 😅😅😅 it's so divine it's illegal 😂😂😂 to be so appealing inviting and fabulous. The owner couple look as lovely as the colourful abode they live in. The cane furniture takes my breath away the ethnic pillars the wall art the green balconies the traditional swing the wall storage which houses the vastu lamp and coffee filter and most importantly the divine Pooja room this house is a treasure trove. The design and build team has done a fantabulous job. The lady of the house looks so beautiful in her saree and her husband looks so happy and peaceful in this paradise I would say the tenants in the lower floor are the luckiest because they get to live in one of the most beautiful houses in Bangalore without all the hardwork just paying rent 😂😂😂 truly a masterpiece buildofy... The fact that this home is a testimony for the beautiful work of craftsmen is the true success of this project right from the aathangudi tiles to the woodwork and the stunning furniture and beautiful veenais all over the place, this "kaivinai" is truly a winner ❤❤
