For your understeer issues try running a softer setup up front, softer sway bar or a softer spring rate for your front coilovers. Also you might want to increase your negative camber in the front and rear to help with cornering.

Hey Adam, I noticed your ABS light was on when you showed us your voltage issue and the tacho failing. The light on is telling you that one of the wheel sensors is no good. Try pulling them out and using compressed air give them a clean out. Otherwise replace them and your ABS should begin to work again. Anyway love your videos, I am a new subscriber and keep it up. A bad abs module can cause voltage issues. Maybe a 2 bird one stone type of issue if ur lucky.

This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for

brake bias to the front will help with oversteer under braking, also car manufacturers purposely put understeer into cars for safety, you can go to a smaller sway bar in the front to help with that. I cant remember if you are still running stock or not but that will help.

I got one of those oil catch cans on Ebay for $35. Just add the stainless steel baffling and its perfect works good even without it.

In my S4 I had to soften up the front springs and a smaller say bar to get rid of some of the under steer. But AWD it is never going going to go away all together. But seeing your in car it does look like you have a good amount.

limerocks probably my favorite track ive been to. ive been there about 3 times for imsa races and the experience beats any other track in my opinion, my moms boyfriend did total his zo6 racing there about a year ago though.

Great track footage, with my wrx it also understeers when I am pushing the car on track or in autocross, what I did that greatly reduced this was get a bigger rear sway bar and increase my front tire pressure as the tires don't roll over as much and it keeps better contact. Just my experience I'd ask a professional or someone with experience driving these kinds of cars at high levels like you are doing. Good to see ur driving it unlike papa tom

Start with more front camber to get the front wheels to turn into the corner better. Make sure your aero balance is on front heavy. Also could lean on bc for setup advice on springs and bars. I think with fewer driver aids this car will be more rewarding when you get that ultimate lap vs your Porsche. Awesome vid!

17:00 happened to my Evo. Check the battery terminal wires and all the grounding point. Mine was just loose same issue too.

I might try some Bridgestone re-71r or BF-Goodritch Rival S. They are both very good consistent tires that work well for street/ track driving. They also fit under the SCCA 200 treadwear limit for street tire classes

Big sway bar rear and higher spring rates and dampening will help. I run 10-12kg f/r on semi slicks. Alignment makes a big difference too. 2.5 degrees camber in the front with some toe out. 1.5 degrees rear camber with toe in.

Evo looks so good on track

Evo's and Impreza's are known for their Rallying abilities, not so much for their track abilitites. I'm not surprised that you get understeer issues in this application. I guess where those cars really shine is shooting out of slow corners but when it comes to fast corners or even mid corners, they will lack of latteral grip, especially with the front tires.

Adam, try adding a stiffer rear spring rate and softer rear sway-bar to help understeer and still have rotation through corners. Also I’ve had good experience with Yokohama Advan A052. They have awesome Hoosier level grip and take high temperatures.

You could have tyre pressures too low on the front . The tyre moves around more so gets hotter when the pressures are low. Understeer on entry could be a diff issue. Depending on what setup you’re running

Just remember Adam to tip at brake pedal before getting into any corner. Only saying this as i learned the hard way an put my track car into a wall at 260ks as my pedal went to the floor an couldn't pump up any pressure to slow her down. Turned out for me some crap on the track cut my left front brake line. Go hard brother but keep safe

the focus st had trailbrake oversteer because the rear suspension swaybars were super stiff, when watch old fwd race cars they often lift the inside rear wheel. fwd is just like awd. since your asking the front wheels to brake, accelerate and turn. you gotta make sure your not doing those things at the same time. brake -turn in- and then mat it at the apex
