James and Aaron Black of N.S. Farms plant cover crops earlier and with less time and tractor passes using a combine-mounted cover crop seeder. This video features them talking about how they got this idea and how this approach is impacting their operation.

Seeing Mary Michael in this video made me SO happy!!! I had the honor of going through the Horticulture department at VT at the same time as her, and she is an INCREDIBLE woman! She is so insanely smart, beyond kind and compassionate, but the thing that always stuck out to me most was how hard working she was. Her work ethic is unmatched, which explains why she is where she is today and were she'll go. Fantastic idea. Reducing input cost and increasing green cover. Those living roots in the ground are so important for soil health

We have been running multi species mixes for several years now. That's definitely where we prefer to be!

That's actually genius. Sadly my massey has a different system, but this should actually be an option on modern combines now, patent it, sell it.

Each model we build is different, currently building them for case, gleaner and jd machines. The newest one for this machine is 1200lbs, what in this video was the older test bed it was 1000.
