It was cool, but I really prefer the stock antique tractors, not the modified or souped up antique tractors. I grew up driving the stock ones. And I don't understand why he didn't slow down when the horn blew - rules are rules for a reason. Maybe he just wanted to see what it would do at the higher speed. But I assume he got disqualified.

My Cousin runs a Farmall 1466 with a International DT466 swap. It was cheaper to swap then to rebuild the original DT436. Fun hotrod of a tractor. Will always run out of traction before running out of guts. Took it from about 140 hp to 225 hp and haven't had any issue out of transmission or rear end other then pto on the silage blower.

They go into the pull knowing its a speed limit class. They can choose not to pull. Speed limit pulling may not be for everyone and thats fine but theres plenty of open classes out there for those who dont like it. This gives all budgets a chance to compete and not get waxed by 80 feet every weekend.

BEAUTIFUL PULL. After reading the comments, sounds like a bunch of cry baby pullers that aren’t men enough to be out pulled. This man not only had the TRACTOR but new how to set it up. Most cry babies haven’t done anything to there tractors in 2 years but put gas in it. Have no idea how to weight it. Tire size, to ground speed, to HP. And put it all together. We had the save thing happen on the west coast. If you want to pull. PULL. BE A MAN ABOUT IT. Add a little fun to the game. When you can beat a tractor like this you have accomplished something. Ll
@sofakingwetoddid78312 жыл бұрын
I've been pulling for 30 years. I'm humble...win or lose. However, this wasn't a beautiful pull and that doesn't make me a crybaby puller. Three horn rule in pace classes has gone away in favor of the 75ft mark because of disrespect and people who abuse it. People who, on their second warning, would just keep their speed up, and blowing the horn until the end of their pull. Therefore, only two horns and no DQ. Basically, you could go as fast as you wanted as long as you didn't sound the horn three times. If you accidentally "pass the pace" you should pull the clutch. This wasn't even that and he clearly didn't care about the pace rules at all. He even has an Agri-Tronix speedometer meaning after the first horn, he'd have know right where he needed to be. A lot of the guys who put these pulls on don't like it when you take off or keep pulling when you're clearly DQ'd. The only exception is if you want an exhibition pull, let the sled operator, or whoever is running the pull know what you're doing. A beautiful pull is really "knowing" your tractor, it's speed, and putting down a footage that's hopefully farther than everyone else.
