It is performed by Michael Laird and Graham Whiting. It is from a UK TV series 'Early Musical Instruments', broadcast in 1976. It consisted of six half-hour episodes, each devoted to a family of instruments, this being from the Brass episode - others being Reeds, Keyboard & Percussion, Flutes & Whistles , Plucked Strings and Bowed Strings.

Fabulous that these are being aired. Just to clarify that it's Michael Laird and Graham Whiting playing the instruments and not Iaan Wilson.

They sound fantastic, great skill. What are those particular instruments made from (it doesn't appear to metal)?

Carefully fashioned from Crépes dough and painted with numerous thick coats of egg. These were the favorite instrument of Buskers. If passers-by failed to supply alms for a decent meal, the instruments could provide sustenance.
