I questioned Southgate for placing such responsibility on such a young player at the time, but in hindsight, that missed penalty is what has made Saka the person and player he is today. The mentality he showed to come back from this magnitude of adversity, is testament to his true character and inner strength. Arteta also bestowed the responsibility on Saka to take penalties in the season that followed the Euros. Both managers' decisions shaped the confidence and belief we see today in Bukayo Saka. What a story, what a player, what a human!

As a Spurs fan, I don't normally like any Arsenal players, but he's one of the few that I do support except when it's against us. What he went through after that miss is nothing short of disgraceful and to develop to the player he has become and will become is nothing short of a miracle because many players would've caved in.

Gareth Southgate should never have let a 19 year old Saka take the final penalty in an European final. Poor management. Still unhappy about this decision, when Sterling and Grealish never took one and they were the older more experienced players.

Southgate was really dumb in this tournament. The penalty situation in the final was terrible. Sancho, Rashford and Saka were too young for that responsibility and lacked the experience for that kind of pressure. He should've made the more mature players like Walker etc train and take penalties.
