Never liked this body because it's not a classic lobster nose. But this film showed that such a body is good for short wave. Thank you for this movie, comrade!

Absolutely a beautifully built vessel! Did you just 'free-build' it or were you following a set of blueprints or drawings? And building it on the dining room table, no less! You must have one heck of a wife, lol! I started my first large scale build (38 inches) of a Cape Cod Lobster/Shrimp boat this past Octobet. I have done 3 others, with the biggest being 24 inches but like I said, this is my first attempt at a large scale (38 inches) build. So far, I have only the keel and ribs laid out. I was able to get my hands on a copy of an actual set of blueprints from the boat yard that built the real boat from a family member who works there. It took me almost a month to 'convert and reduce the drawings from actual size (84 feet) down to a 38 inch scale. My wife is 'allowing' me to build it in our spare/guest bedroom (my daughter's old room before she got married & moved out) because it is winter and it is too cold to build it out in our unheated garage). The wood I am building it from is both oak and pine, which I am getting from a half dozen or so wooden shipping crates for snowmoblowers I got from a local power equipment store that was throwing them away. I disassembled and de-nailed them then cut into scale dimensional sized pieces on my table saw. (That alone took almost a month to do). I plan on laying a few layers of fiberglass resin over the wood to totally water seal it, but that will have to wait until spring when the snow is gone and it warms up (wife will not allow me to do that in the house because of the fumes/smell or mess). Hopefully, it will come out as nice as yours when done. Thank you for taking the time to video your build. Like I said. Beautifully done.
