Bulgarian football match abandoned as referee chased off pitch

Күн бұрынA match in Bulgaria was abandoned in the 21st minute after players began trying to fight the referee. After one began pushing the match official, he brandished a yellow card, before the captain waded in to hit away the outstretched arm of the referee. Fans followed suit and began chasing down the referee. However, he decided that enough was enough and began running from the pitch and into the adjacent car park. The game, which was filmed by Nikola Penev, was between OFK Kostinbrod and Tornado Bezden and played in Kostinbrod, just outside the capitol Sofia

I'm Bulgarian and this is the fourth division in Bulgaria. Only the first and second level of football is considered professional and the third , fourth and fifth are "amateur" and you can kind of see why😂

Hockey is not that violent though… guess you have only seen high light of some brawls. Although ok for a sport it is kinda violent, as you can legally fight at least a bit and you do not get a red card or sent off completely from pitch as in other sports, but there is still penalty

This a match from 4th bulgarian division. It's amateaur and it's also called "The farmers league" in Bulgaria, for obvious reasons.

I remember when I was trying out for my college team as a freshmen and a few days in there was a high school tournament held at the college and all the freshmen had to be linemen. In my first game I already had a kid throwing his hands in the air telling me he wasnt offsides. Aint no way I would want to do that full time lol.

A few years ago, in a game like this, someone sucker punched a referee after getting carded. One punch and the ref was dead. It's just not worth it to act like that.
