You lost me at helio something something...lol. After 2 years in the hobby I just learned my heaters should be angled. But the one in my fluval flex is vertical and in the back chamber. It's been there 2 years and it's always had a constant temp, and since it's only 15g, 12 probably without the back chamber, space is at a premium, so I'll leave that one vertical. In my 55g I just angled that, but I hate the non-vertical look, but thank goodness my jungle val is hiding it pretty good. I run 2 seachem tidal 110s so there's plenty of flow all over the tank, so I think I'm good with the placement. The temp doesn't fluctuate much. I LOVE the idea of having an alarm if the heater breaks....yeah how would I know unless I'm looking 4x a day at the temp, so thank you for that. I'm definitely looking in to that....great video

Can't say I agree with the "alarm type" unless you have a heater that can guarantee a sustainable temperature once achieved, you'll go bonkers hearing the alarm go off constantly! Ugggh!!

You missed the main one, Don't put mains powered devices (and their cords) immersed in saltwater, use DC or external heaters only...... it is 2023 after all.....

What DC heaters are there for a aquariums? I haven't really seen any, except those for very small aquariums.
