Get in the holiday spirit by crocheting this adorable and festive Bulky and Quick Elf Hat. The pattern is designed in Bernat Softee Chunky, a very soft, versatile, super bulky weight yarn. The Elf hat comes in five sizes, from baby to large adult. The crochet hat is worked from the bottom up in a simple Half Double Crochet stitch.

I just finished mine- purchased off etsy. However the measurement was more for band to fit my head which made the length of rows more than the suggested in pdf. But i figured it all out!! 😊

I bought your pattern and made the hat. Pattern is easy to follow along with the video. How do you get your hat to be so flexible. Finding mine to be a little stiff and not as long in length as yours.

Make sure to check your gauge, you could be a tighter crocheter.

Hi MJ! Could I do this pattern with worsted weight yarn? If ao, what size hook would I use to achieve the same dominions?

The yarn usually gives a the suggested hook size. Depending on how tight or loose you want it. I would suggest 4.5 to 6 mm hook. And you will need to add more stitches since the yarn is thinner.

I am getting my pompom at 52.6g. Am I doing something wrong? I am using the same size maker as your video shows🤷 Suggestions? I am using the bulky weight yarn and I even made another with worsted weight yarn.🤷🤷
