Explained in tamil about the following things, When to use Bull call spread option strategies ? what is the profit and loss possibility with bull call spread option strategies ? Which strike price should be bought and which strike price should be sold ? What are the important things to be noted ? Nice explanation and easily understandable bro, but i have a doubt in the example. When u sell a Call option and the market rises above the strike price means the premium amount will be reducing, but in ur example when the nifty spot price reaches 11600 the premium for 11500 CE increased from 48.95 to 100. How is this possible?

hi bro, the margin requirement (30K) is for intraday or for position as well in zerotha? That means can take position before the expiry day with 30K margin?

Whatever margin shown in the zerodha margin calculator(Span+Exposure) is for positional, so with that margin, u can carry ur positions till expiry.

Actually i took this example from upstox option strategy builder, so it may not match the actual premiums. Use it as reference to understand the strategy.

Very clearly explained. 1) Could you also suggest best app or method to do paper trading. 2) When you say exit the strategy, it should be done on expiry day , right - i.e do we need ot buy sell call even if its completely become worthless. and the trade is actually closed when we exit,? What happens if we missed ot exit ?

1) Will check on the app or website for paper trading in options, meanwhile pls note it manually and keep checking its progress. 2) we do not need to exit only on expiry day, we can exit anytime if u feel profit is enough or if u think market may turn against ur trade. Exiting on expiry day will give us full profit as per of our expectation in the strategy, but exiting before that may not have full profit out of the options. 3)When we exit, yes trade will be closed. In this strategy, we buy 1 ATM CE and sell 1 OTM CE. so to exit, we must sell that ATM CE and buy that OTM CE on expiry day or even before expiry. 4)If missed to exit, Options in index will settle u the profit/loss. so no issues even when u do not exit before expiry. But for stock options, ur ITM call option will become physicall settlement which means u will end up buying LOT size of stock as delivery. Missed to exit OTM call option not an issue.

Brother I have some doubts?. In the strategy is a combination of trading strategy?. In this example when we sell otm call option after 2 or 3 days or before expiry?. Here once we buy and then sell call option the transaction is completed right. Here we bought 11400 itm call option at 85.05 premium and then we sold 11500 otm at 48.95. the difference is 36.1. my question is here we bought and sold. At this stage is this transaction is completed Right. Then why we calculate profit and loss at the time of expiry. Next question after buy and sell we fix net premium is 36.1, and also we caculate break even point only at 36.1 premium right. Then why we calculate profit/loss to 85.05 premium amount. BEP at 36.1 premium and profil/loss at 85.05 why??.

Buy position and sell positions are of different strikes here and so they are different positions which will remain as separate buy positions and sell positions.

@@TamilPanguSandhai - consider the below BULL call spread strategy, I bought BHARTI Airtel - 400CE @ 15.50 I sold BHARTI Airtel - 410CE @ 11.15 My breakeven point is 405 here Consider on expiry the share price is 404. For the 400(buy) call option, the strike price(400) is in ITM But the 410(sell) call option is not in ITM. For the above, do we have delivery obligation on the 410CE alone?

Delivery obligations are only for ITM options and not for OTM options.

Hi Nagarajan the premium amount information can be seen in NSE website in options chain category or in your trading account when you choose the strike and expiry.. you can see the premium amount at which the particular strike is trading. He had taken an example for explaining the concept. Entry has to decided based on the market situation and news.
