They really didn’t change very much, just the finer details but not really the core aspects of plot points. And that’s all for the better since they seem to understand they aren’t in this to reinvent the wheel but just update it for a modern audience.

@nanaholic01 I know what you mean. I think I was just shocked that they charged the scenario locations or crime case since I grew up with this show. I am just used to the anime. Just my nostalgia goggles liking the anime scenes more 😄

Suzuki Ryouhei is a solid choice for someone to embody the coolness and wackiness of Ryou. Hard to say no remembering the fact that he was Hentai Kamen.

i loves the movie, the characters are perfectly fit!! If the Jackey Chan's version is a comical cartoon and the France version is a comedy (but I still like it) then this one is really are coming straight from the manga/anime it self!!! please continue~~ and just keep the story to the manga/anime style!!

This isn't taking from John Wick but just staying true to the original material. City Hunter is based on a manga/anime that was released in the 80s where the protagonist basically hangs out in Kabukicho - the redlight district of Shinjuku - all day long. He knows every club and disco in the area and everyone knows him - very much like John Wick - because he goes out of his way to protect the honest people working there which often gets mistreated and terrorised by organised gangs. Shooting in bars and discos was basically every weekday for the character and the franchise.
