I almost had a home invasion today. Two guys dressed as peoples gas came up to our stairs, knocking on our door asking to come in for service. My girlfriend said there was no recognition of services today scheduled. She asked for credentials. They didn’t want to give it to her so she said get lost and they left . Do so so lucky. It's pretty sad that the vaccines still live rent free in people's heads years later. 26 out of 99 residents at my local retirement home died from the virus in 2020, including my former neighbor. Most of these infections wouldn't have been fatal one year later with vaccination. But nothing was more cringeworthy than the antimaskers who saw themselves as freedom fighters instead of the misinformed and easily-manipulated fragile egocentric crybabies that they were.

Don’t feel bad. I’m a white guy and can’t get family and friends to understand why I stack. Can’t imagine trying to convince my neighbours. I am the only one I know of that stacks silver and gold. Today, I looked at a gold chain I bought just 3-4 years ago for around $6,500….. that same chain today at the same jeweller (Jacoje) is now selling for $11,000.00! I told friends and family I had always made money on my gold chains too and they just don’t get it! Lol

For me personally silver's value lies between 35-50 dollars an ounce at the moment, everything below that price is a bargain.

Silver should put in a new nominal All Time High. $50 is just a psychological/chart barrier anymore. With current inflation rates, $75 should be about right.

@@adventureswitheddie6444 Not if it is followed by years of $15 silver, which is *exactly* what happened in 2011 and worse in 1980. Stackers in large part need to be better money managers, IMO. This is how one builds a better stack. When silver is cheaper, buy more. When silver is more expensive buy less or none. Set a price at which you are comfortable buying and do not buy above that price. History shows this to be the correct approach to owning PMs. Everyone is free to do what they want but those wanting a better life via better money management and stacking need to pay attention to how much they are spending on any asset, including PMs.

I bought my first ounce of silver in 2011 for $44. (For a generic bar) The spike drove me in. I was a collector then and this was just another thing to collect. When I saw how it dipped down to $17 within one year I was intrigued. That’s when I really started stacking. I thought, it was expensive once and so it’ll top out again. So I started buying all I could.

I say look at the ratio. It's never been this high. I'm hanging in with silver on the assumption that market spoofing by the big banks will not survive an economic catastrophe. I believe silver will be the money of the people, at least for a time.

@@aspensulphate The ratio has exceeded 120:1 in the past, so this is not a record ratio. But it is high, higher than seems reasonable. Still, there really are good reasons why someone would want to trade silver for gold, despite the ratio. Ease of transport, storage, and simplifying one's holdings. He said in the video that he has a LOT of silver, and is just trimming his silver holdings. I think that how anyone approaches their financial assets should be up to them and not anyone else. I'm sort of in his boat on this, having a lot of silver and looking for a better time to sell it and buy gold with the proceeds. My money, my choice. I believe in this as a form of property rights, so don't argue with people about how they see their situation or their response to it.

I get the idea about stacking only American Silver Eagles vs any other silver bullion, but for the money, I still think the Canadian Maples are the better buy overall. They're better made, better security features and they have a $5.00 face value (Canadian) vs $1.00 face value on ASE. With current exchange rate of $1.00 CAD = $0.73 USD, $5.00 CAD is worth $3.65 USD. Now if premiums were more reasonable instead of north of 20% or if face value was greater than $1.00, then I'd be more onboard with ASE. I also think junk silver is a better buy, at least at this moment. I've seen flash sales as low as $0.50 over spot for quarters and dimes.

I know a lot of folks here don't understand selling silver for gold but I do get it. Gold spot price is more stable than silver and he's not wrong about storage. If your stack approaches or exceeds a thousand ounces you know how much space silver takes. That said I'd never trade the ratio one way or the other. Both metals are beautiful and have their purpose. I switched to gold when my silver became too heavy to carry. I could sell my gold at a profit already. That’s not true of my silver due to excess fees I paid a couple of years ago.

All fiat currencies eventually reach their intrinsic value of 0. This is most often caused by over-printing these days, which destroys their buying power. In ancient times, they added zinc to their silver coins and copper to gold coins so they could make more coins on the cheap. Sharp-eyed merchants saw through this scam almost immediately and discounted the "new" versions of these coins. Today, this is less obvious but the end result is the same: a currency that declines in value represents the maker of the money as well as the money itself.

@@edb3877. 100 percent fact!!! They “say” the USD is up. But who’s putting out those figures, and what are their motives? The US economy is a giant Ponzi scheme right now. But instead of having to bring in new investors like our boy Bernie, the Fed just creates six trillion out of thin air, and cranks up the presses so they can flood us with more funny money! It’s only a matter of time before the other shoe drops, and we’re using $100 bills to light the wood stove. Just because the dollar collapses, that’s not going to stop commerce. You will still be able to buy essential goods. Only not with greenbacks. The “value” (not price) will be precisely what a barter/black market seller wants for those goods, vs what that silver holder is willing to pay. That could be a lot, or it could be very little. My guess is the latter. An ounce of bullion could buy you a weeks worth of food, or 20 gallons of gasoline. Theres no way of knowing until it happens. Historically, those with gold and silver after a fiat currency crash are driving the bus!

Your reasoning makes sense. You made the swap for a rational objective. When you think in terms of exfiltrating out of an area and starting over again somewhere else, you want gold and not silver. Gold is compressed wealth that is instant, recognized liquidity anywhere in the world.

Heck I am currently waiting on my delivery to come back for swapping some gold for Silver. I knew I needed try it out and now it just seems right. I am both nervous and excited. Plus it's good to try new things.

Wow Yankee. You guys ROCK. Loved watching the guy bring in all that silver to trade for gold. Kinda sad but I do understand what he was doing. I haven't been stacking but probably a little over a 2 years and have around 250 oz of silver bullion, but I have been concentrating for the past 8 months or so on Constitutional Silver. Probably have close to $100 face of that now for barter purposes if the economy crashes and the dollar goes to zero. Thanks again to you and Tim for keeping use all informed and entertained. A lot of people are buying Silver right now expecting it to go up. If you have a lot of silver, that's the perfect time to sell it...when the demand is high. Once silver is high, less people can afford to buy it and demand will go down. If you have a lot of silver, it's much harder to sell when price is high. Guy seems like he has a lot of silver.

one advantage of silver over gold is that there is less risk in silver when you sell especially in small amounts. when gold goes to 3K your options to liquidate become more limited. i am ok with selling some silver on ebay or craigslist but gold makes you more of a target for theft and fraud when you sell yourself imo.

Why isn’t prices going up all good for us stackers? Comments like that from shops are ludicrous! The math makes perfect sense? The metals had not kept up with inflation for years and now shop owners complaining about prices going up! Unreal and shows you how they always use the price spread to take from the buyers!!!!

When Tim said that his dealers stop buying at a certain point, that is a good reason to not stack to get back into dollars. Stack for when a currency fails. If you try to get back into dollars, you might run into a bottleneck.

I would be stocking Silver now and wait for that ratio to go down. It seems every 3-5 years the ratio swings one way or the other and we are at the higher end right now that favors stacking Silver.. Wait for that to drop.. I'll be thinking about it around 50-60.. Maybe.. Depends on what the market looks like at the time.

I think gold and silver are still not at their true value yet, however with central banks and large investors and industrial buyers now getting into the mix, the metals will continue to rise. When the debt based fiat system is collapsing, more and more people will seek protection in precious metals. Buckle up people, I think we’re almost there.

I've done my last transfer of silver into gold, I sold 120oz at about $30 per oz and replaced it with about 3oz gold. In any event I worked it out at about 60 - 1 ratio.

He's trading maximum silver for minimum gold. He has no understanding of what is going on with silver. The silver deficit is exploding. Silver at $34, Katie bar the door, and Neumeyer Ratio here we come. To trade out of silver at 83 to 1 when he could hold until 20 to 1, and still be able to front run a mass movement into gold boggles the mind (and numbs the nuts).

I did the same 2 yrs ago here in Scotland it's to much of a wait with tax at 20% on top unless it goes 40 dollers a oz it's a long long wait ,but was buying gold here when it was around 500 dollers so doing alright 😅and no tax on gold here 😅😅😅

My LCS is paying only paying 95% for silver and 100% for gold. He has traditionally paid 100% for silver so yes demand for gold seems to be higher now.
