Like you, I was surprised by 1) the terrible handling sounds, and 2) the amazing and beautiful tone for voices. Would not work for a gamer. But for a KZfaqr, or someone doing Zoom meetings who is disciplined enough to keep his hands off the table and the cable, at $25 these days, this mic is an incredible steal. Looks to me like they are phasing this little mic out and selling them at cost. Maybe there will be a future Bumblebee 3 which will fix the problems.

Thanks for the great review! To my ears the Bumbleebee 2 - as well as the AKG - sounds better (richer, fuller, low end) than the rest. The Tula though is an overall best choice in sound, design and functionality.

The yellow button on my mic doesn’t work, I have a MacBook and it has a greyed out volume when I turn it, and when I have my headphones in I hear no difference. The volume is full up and doesn’t turn down at all. Did I get a broken one?

Great review and your voice sounds really good on the Bumblebee 2. Really wish you had added footage of the mic on a boom arm. How was it installed? And did it work as a work around to deal with the handling noise? Thanks!

I know, I can't believe that i forgot to show it attched to the boom arm. I'm about to review the new WorkerBee 2, and I'll take a second to show the Bumblebee attached to a boom arm as well. That vid should be out later this week. Thanks for watching.

I would use a rubber horseshoe on the bottom or a Yoga block. The sound on the Bumblebee 2 was better than the other mics. For half the Price now? When you raised the chair there really wasn't much of a difference in sound.

hi，is there any recommendation on small invisible lavalier mic which could compete with the sound quality of a big visible condenser mic？

Hi, that's tricky. Lav mics are usually omni directional and tend to pick up more room tone. However, some of my favorite LAV mics are from sennheiser. I have always had great audio quality from them.

Tula is ridiculously high in price. I like akg and bumble bee 2 , I think they will sound good for singing.Akg comes on sale for $80 and bumble bee is $50 right now.

It sounds good, but to not have some sort of shock mount (either internally or traditional) is criminal when these mics are clearly aimed at gamers

First, may the yt algorithm gods light a fuse under your channel. Now there are two who I really like! Second, oh... TURD-le Beach... sorry guys, you aren't really all that "neat." I was so ready to pop for the King 2 having missed the boat on the original, but alas, do I want to play the "do i get a properly grounded one" game? I see even the good ones crapping out in a couple years. I imagine they used cheap ass components in the update. Anyway, great work on your vids. Glad I found you.

Hello... listening to your video with headphones or with a good pair of speakers, it seems to me the Bumblebee sounds great, better than the other mics. The Tula Mic sounds good for the small form factor and the plus with the feature it can record, but I think it is much expensive. The RODE Mini is the one that sounds worst, I have the same mic and when listening it throughout the direct headphones, it sounds good, but when hear the recording, it sounds with a bad quality sound. Good Review

The bumblebee 2 is about $50 bucks now. That’s 25% of the Tula mic. The Tula has too many buttons to remember what each does. Albeit I prefer a knob or button, labeled for each function.

Hmmm. Check your cables, make sure the mic is getting power. check your settings to make sure the mic is detected and selected. Try adjusting your input levels. And, depending on your DAW, you might have to go into preferences and make sure the correct input is selected.

strange, with lots of years and lots of mics outhere, why the hell mics do not come with internal shock mount like the sm7b...is that to hard to achive? or sell it with a working shock mount. really do not undestand this manufacters... common in 2021 guys , wake up!!!
