As a person who grew up with the Bayverse, I definitely prefer the more G1 style of Wheeljack even if he had a second of screen time. I hope to see more of him, having a significant role in rise of the beast and I'm praying to primus that he doesn't get killed off.

2:33 I can safely that this is a problem I don’t have with my SS Wheeljack. The legs joints aren’t super stiff but they won’t fling around when you shake the figure. Though from what you said at the beginning, the loser legs joints, while always the case, are apparently a bit more common on the figure compared to other copies.

I think so far I'm buying Brawn and Ratchet and passing on Wheeljack. That may change. I'm on the fence about all of them. And yes, I hated Wheeljack's design in DotM and I certainly hate that they called him "Q" *vomit* This is coming from a movie fan.

Love your channel, it reminds me a lot of Lego reviewers. That community is so passionate about every aspect of their figures, they’ll call out all the bs with each figure. The Bayverse wheeljack is the equivalent to that creepy vilian from phantasm and the first potergiest lol, this version however is actually good hopefully I'll be able to get one. Hasbro's distribution is much to be desired.

Wheeljack is the only transformer I own who can pull his weapon from storage naturally. As in he can reach back and pull his gun from the back peg himself, which gives him some dynamic posing with other bots.

Around two to three years ago I designed a Bumblebee Wheeljack 3D printed figure, never got past the design stage but maybe I'll come back to it, this was also my most hyped figure from this wave

my legs were loose too, but I found a simple fix. Just rip off the corner of a tissue, pull of his legs, shove the tissue in the socket (using more or less depending on how loose) then put his legs back on. It works fine.

Steve Blum voiced Wheeljack in that scene? Yikes then. Steve typically gives his characters very distinct voices, even across the many characters he plays, but in the scene Wheeljack just sounded like a normal dude. He didn't have the raspy reverberation to his voice he typically does. It sounded a lot like TFP Wheeljack. But real shit, Steve Blum NEEDS to become the full time voice actor for Starscream.

something I've noticed with this guy is he comes across wicked stubby on camara, but is a lot better proportioned in person.(even tho hes still stubby)in person. picked it up today and am loving it.

I got this figure and the hips are super lose where as the sholders are so tight it causes the whole thing to untap but I still like it. About the off white thing, normally I'd agree but I can easily see how his pure white paint job gets dirty

My best friend's son bought me this Wheeljack for Christmas. Thing is - he was with me in November when I saw a different Wheeljack in the shops and I said to him 'I wouldn't want that, I only really collect G1 inspired stuff' and he was really disappointed because he thought I wasn't going to like it and was kicking himself that he hadn't bought me Earthrise Wheeljack or a different Legacy figure instead! Soon as I opened it on Christmas day I could see it was a great figure and he was made up that I actually liked it, because he spent the whole run up to it thinking he'd wasted his money on something I wouldn't want! Poor lad. lol Great review as always!

The panels on Wheeljack's hands are part of his design. They typically move (may be at the bottom or inner side of his wrists), in his various incarnations, due to toy transformation requirements. This one seems to split the difference, & has it wrap around a bit. I thought the Masterpiece was clever with how they implemented them (taillights swing around, to the insides of the arms). I think they were under his hands, rather than on the inside of the lower arm, in the G1 cartoon.

Yay for narcisswrists! While I don’t have one, he certainly looks like the best of this wave. On the size issue, I tend to agree that I prefer better engineering and no hollowness but are these figures lighter than a Kingdon deluxe? Are we seeing another reduction in size of transformers in addition to a price rise? If the weight is the same then it’d be a “no,” they’re just smaller. But if they weigh less than last year’s deluxes it feels like a cash grab.

Back of the legs definitely aren't unclean. They certainly aren't accurate, but they are also still cohesive.

I don’t get ur hate for Earthrise wheeljack’s alt mode. It’s very accurate to the real world race car. The spoiler is the size and shape of what a spoiler should be, and this might just be me, but I love the Easter egg tampos on the side. His robot mode isn’t that bad either. The arms while yes are disproportionate, are easily fixed if u move the shoulder transformation joint up slightly. The head sculpt is on point, and the accessories while lacking are bad. I’ll agree on the dog water accessories, but it Definitely went to the paint budget. He’s lathered. Paint on the head, chest, hands, back, spoiler, front legs, side legs, feet, and tires. Plus he holds prime wheeljack’s sword nicely if ur prime wheeljack’s leg peg broke.

YES! This totally crushes the Earthrise version. In fact, when I first saw this figure, I was very tempted to replace my ER Wheeljack with it until I realized the Live action aesthetic might not blend as well with my mostly G1 collection. But, if I didn't already have the ER Wheeljack, I might have still gotten this figure. And I have to ask, does this mean you'll do another What's the best Wheeljack?

pretty happy with getting that one myself, since I got him for essentially free in an ebay auction (I wanted the sideways, so I'm considering him as a bonus), which I managed to get for cheap. I should get those 2 by eitheir the next week or the kext month depending on how fast the shipping is.

I remember Studio Series Cliffjumper having the same translucent chunky feet that became the front of the vehicle and really not liking it. I guess that was one reason why many thought SS Wheeljack was a retool of Cliffjumper... Anywho, I solved that when repainting CJ by cutting and sanding off all the extra bits for more cleaner, streamlined feet. This of course meant he would never transform again which I was ok with. I DON"T think I'd be ready to do that with SS Jackie. His Cybertronian alt mode is TOO sexy to give that up. Plus I do like that the spoiler kibble blocking is hands can be easily popped off too. The figure looks great, but I think the feet are clear for the headlight, which don’t light up because they have no light in them. Kinda dumb

This is a heavy rettol of that terrible Cybertron Bumblebee. You can tell mainly from the waist down being very similar.

This figure is my favourite of the wave, I find the transformation fun, my only issue with him is mine had loose hips
