If Kane and Bayern lost the Bundesliga to Leverkusen it will be extremely poetic. Leverkusen is basically the 'German Spurs', the 'almost but never' team. It will be their first league title as well. Imagine if this was topped by Spurs winning the league this season. Even the most logical of person would entertain the thought that Kane was really cursed. 😂😂

Xabi Alonso is proving to be a really good manager, taking teams to their maximum every chance he gets (he got Real Sociedad B promoted to Spanish Second Division for their second time ever). Although, nowadays it seems likely he'll coach Real Madrid if Ancelotti leaves, I want to see him stay at Leverkusen a little longer and take them to new heights.

I still don’t understand why Bayern sacked Naglesmann. He was doing much better than Tuchel is now with arguably a worse team because they didn’t have a world class 9. I've been a Leverkusen fan since I first became interested in football and I've always felt that our main problem is that we are great in big games against bayern and such but always make mistakes in smaller games. Hradecky actually started really well in germany. Mainly because he was one of the best GKs of the league in Frankfurt before moving to Leverkusen.

Would be really cool is Xavi builds a dynasty at Leverkusen before leaving for Madrid. Another 3 seasons at least. His career definitely has time for it.

As a Finn I have always gravitated towards Leverkusen in German Football. Sami Hyypiä was their manager like a decade ago and they have Hradecky and a few years ago Pohjanpalo as well.

I'm German and my favourite German club has always been Leverkusen. It started kinda hilariously with nobody in my family being interested in football, then me starting to play Fifa as a kid and often picking Leverkusen because I found their logo with the lions to be cool. xD In German, what is "Neverkusen" in English is "Vizekusen" (meaning vice / runners-up). Doesn't work as well in sounding similar but at least it sounds way more positive than Neverkusen in my opinion, haha. This season I'm more excited than I've been in a long time, if ever. It just seems like everything has come together with players like Wirtz, Palacios, Tah or Tapsoba playing great seasons, almost every single one of our summer signings - Grimaldo, Xhaka, Hofmann and Boniface - working out even better than expected, and of course Xabi Alonso working excellent as our coach. It's obvious that this team was put together to win trophies and I really, really hope that they succeed. It's just mind-boggling how a team which has often been so good hasn't won a trophy for 30(!) years now and with the very real possibility of basically half the team plus coach leaving after this year they just have to use this opportunity and win at least one title this year!

I am a fan of BMG and Leverkusen, the former as "heritage club", the latter chosen by myself. While it hurts to see one club struggling, it is great to see the other soar at least. I was hesitant with Xabi at first, but I thought he was a very promising trainer that chooses his clubs sensibly. I would never have expected the success he and they had and have so far. And Wirtz is just pure bliss to watch play.

Came here just to give a recommendation: Botafogo had an amazing start to the Brazilian season, and they’ve been leading the Brasileirão for a long time. However, they’ve been slowly bottling it, and recently, in matchweek 31, they lost to 2nd place Palmeiras, who closed the gap to 3 points (Botafogo were once 11 points ahead). So yeah, keep an eye on them, they might give you more video content (would love to see you talking about brazilian football).

Counting all competitions Frimpong currently stands at 5+7 g/a (3+6 Bundesliga) and Grimaldo at 5+5 g/a (3+4 BuLi). They're both great this season! ;^) Edit: Seems like every stat is already outdated by quite a bit. So just because, here's the rest mentioned: Wirtz 5+9 g/a (2+4 league); Hofmann 7+4 g/a (5+4 league); Boniface 10+4 g/a (7+3 league). 1 doubt I have, is that Bayer feels like last year Arsenal. Team of young stars (Wirtz, Frimpong, Boniface/Saka, Martinelli, Odeogard), has great transfer company, taking more experiences players (Xhaka, Hofmann, Grimaldo/Jesus, Zinchenko, Jorginho) that suits Coaches plan perfectly, and gives fight for biggest team of country (Bayern/ManCity) making even more impressive start, then main favourite. I hope that Bayer can avoid injuries and same problems Arsenal had, when one of their main players (Saliba) got injured. Only that difference can make Vicekusen in Winerkusen

Selling Diaby and buying with that money xhaka, boniface and hoffmann is a crazy good trade. Hoffmann plays such a good season i immediatly forgot about diaby. But Im not sure if we can stay this consistent. In the winter is africa cup and then we lose boniface, koussounu and tabsoba for a few weeks...
