Hello Im Lance (aka Bundy Bear) and doing these videos is my hobby. I do own Queensland Tractor Spares in Australia where I sell parts and offer technical advise to customers.
Parts seen in our videos can be purchased from www.queenslandtractorspares.co...
We have a lot more than we can offer on our web site available to us and in our store. If you dont see what you would like please email info@queenslandtractorspares.com.au and we will help where we can.
I do try and help with technical advise at bundybearsshed@gmail.com if you have a question or are having trouble with your project.

I messaged you about a week ago about my freshly rebuilt pump bot working. I ended up taking the valve chamber clamp bolts out and filling the valve chambers full of oil and the oil tube and that took care of the problem. I believe the pump was just air locked. Thank you for this video, my draft control and quadrant both need adjusted. You're a big help!

Hello mate , it,s a masterstroke putting an O ring in as the backup lift cylinder piston ring , as you,ve found out , it stops the linkage slowly sinking over time , looks like a good idea to me , for all of you out there that do this , make a point of lifting & lowering your Fergie,s linkage a few times a week , this will keep the inside diameter of the lift cylinder oiled up , clean & workable . it,s surprising just how sensitive the ferguson system is , as you,ve shown , finding the right spot is everything , not everybody would have the patience or knowledge to achieve it , well done from the old country .

Hi Lance, been a while since I had a look at this particular video, the relief valve on my TEA has started to whistle over the last couple of weeks and there must have been something in the mechanism inside that has gone out of adjustment, or bent, or broken, the lever is working okay up to about 2/3rds of the quadrant and further up than that the relief valve blows. So using your video I'll try the simple fix first, cheers all.

Great video Lance and I found the last part interesting too where the hydraulics don't go down with the tractor turned off. With my fergy I mostly have a carryall on the back and if I turn off the tractor the carryall starts going down slowly and faster if there is a load of wood or whatever on the back or it drops like a sack of potatoes while running and I release the lever. Would that mean the control valve or O ring is buggered? Because iv always wondered why it does that. Cheers Lance!
@BundyBearsShed
@BundyBearsShed 5 ай бұрын
No the reason is the split piston rings on the main lift piston, they are made like that and the oil must leak down. The reason mine doesnt leak down is that I have fitted a Ford lift piston with an o ring that has a full seal. It is an easy thing to fit.

I have an opportunity to get a bunch of shell industrial hydraulic fluid for a good price, but would it be better for me to go for tractor fluid, or even just automatic transmission fluid?

You fill using the gearbox filler but go slow as it has to run through the bearings and it can take a while. I use any modern tractor back end oil it will work fine, they take a bit over 22l From memory. I cant say how much they lift on a jib as they are all different but 500kg would be reasonable on a fork I would think.

@@BundyBearsShed thanks for your speedy reply, very much appreciated.. Now i filled the transmassion thru hole next to gear stick with 20lt of oil, theres a hole on the bottom 1inch back from where engine flange bolts to transmission section which the new oil is coming out from. Is there a screw missing? Is it overflow from overfilling? Then further back towards the next section just infront of the sump plug for trans/hydraulic oil, theres like what looks like two ends of a split pin coming out of a hole, theres also a slow drip from there.. Hi Lance, TEA20 - how far should PTO on/off lever travel to engage and what would cause it to sometimes disengage?
@BundyBearsShed
@BundyBearsShed 2 жыл бұрын
Movement should probably be the same for ground pto as engine pto. A twisted shaft can cause it to slide out.

My imt 539 deluxe. When I mash clutch, lift goes down. Also goes down when tractor is shut off. It's a 50 something year model. Any suggestions you have would be appreciated.

It sounds like you have a single clutch model, if so that is how they work Im afraid .

I think your pump control valve is either stick or broken.

Hello sir, I have TEA20 1953 when I want lift up and down it’s not working and when I put in PTO gear then lift works. So always I need put in pto gear if I want to up and down. Please let me know what’s wrong, thanks
@BundyBearsShed
@BundyBearsShed 2 жыл бұрын
That is how they work they don't have live hydraulics you do need the pto engaged to drive the hydraulic pump. Most tractors now a days have live hydraulics but back in the day these were made it hadnt been thought of yet.

Hi Lance, my hydraulic won't go down . What you think it can be? It also stutters but won't lift with an implement on
@BundyBearsShed
@BundyBearsShed 2 жыл бұрын
Always check the hydraulic pump control valve and check that the arms move freely with no implement on it.
