i love seeing the thought, effort, & process of creating this look (or anything) more than someone making it seem like they can get everything exactly right the first time. that can only be done by manipulation through editing at several, if not all levels. i love the process of figuring things out, i love seeing work & thought & a bit of struggle, it's so much more real & engaging. it's helpful too! as an artist i already understand the difficulty of figuring out colors for inks, acrylics, watercolors, etc. but makeup has a lot of different materials going on that i don't have experience with. seeing an expert show their work helps me get better at these things too & appreciate them even more. 😊

The color needs to be deeper and a little bit more blue/purple, but you definitely got close! I also think any shimmer ruins it. It's almost like a flat matte with a super wet, shiny gloss on top. So cute! Also, now I can't wait to see your Winnie inspired eye look!!

Flat matte textures usually ruin most people's lips though, even if they throw a gloss on top. I think if one tried to use matte product and put a gloss on top it wouldn't look plump and hydrated.

This is such a cute concept. Part of the color we’re seeing in the pic is a reflection from the metal. So I think a bluish base will make the undertone needed. Also please do eye makeup based on your puppies!!

I've always been a fan of the new Calf Liver lips trend. It's a very deep, dark, mysterious blood-red shade yet with a major glossy effect. Very gooey, lush, and it looks like I'm getting a sufficient amount of retinol.

I prefer the more muted pate version which was brought out later. I like the velvety whipped look better than the bloodied gloss. Ya know? 💅🫦

I am 73 years old and thought I have seen everything I bought more makeup in my lifetime than you could shake a stick at anything from drugstore makeup to Chanel and on and on and on it goes. I just love and I mean absolutely love when some kind of new trend comes out that is actually different or that I haven't seen before . I'm not so much into the eye makeup anymore like I used to be but I am very much into lips and different colors. I especially love when something comes out that makes me look younger. Thank you. I enjoyed the video and your lip look was very very close. I have so much makeup that I surely can put something together for the bunny tongue look. Thanks for bringing it!

I would love to see you do a Shade Challenge series (eyeshadows, Lips, etc.) where you take a random picture that has a gorgeous shade you want to achieve. I loved watching you combined the different brands and shades to achieve as close to the real deal as possible! Like an artist creating their perfect color palette!

Reminds me of Y2K lip gloss like ColorJuice, Victoria's Secret, L'oreal juicy tubes. Everybody had pink glossy lips! All you need is white eyeshadow and big pink disco sunglasses.

i like how you tried to DIY this shade using products you already had! i know the final result wasn't completely spot on, but the shine and nudey/mauvey pink shade made your lips look STUNNING! i can now understand the obsession with this particular shade and sheen, lol. I too found out about this trend through Sacheu's channel and promptly got my hands on the Sephora gloss. it didn't work with my particular lip color, but after seeing you try to work it out, I'm motivated to see how close I can get to it now lol. I feel like if you went with more violet or mauve, you would get even closer to the final result. Thank you for sharing!!!

I immediately recognized your Jojo Sewa re-do! I think you were very very close to matching the bun-tongue color. I think just a tiny bit more depth on the rosy lavender side, but as you mentioned that could just be the difference in the lighting. At any rate your blend is amazingly close! You have such a good eye for color. Well done!!

I feel that the colour could be replicated by using an orchid pink lipstick (which is a purple based pink) and then putting a soft pink gloss over the top such as that romand one. It's a lot simpler than people are making it out to be, in my opinion

I feel like the colors of this tongue are so close to the lip colors that were very popular before the nude lip hit. When there was all of these more silver/blue tone pinks all over (2006-2010?)! Unfort, a lot of them were metals/metallic shimmer, but if that was removed, they all would have been so accurate to this! I know I had this lip with the most gnarly, heavy black smudge liner. For me, the key to recreate this, is to avoid red-purple or peach tone pink and go more for a blue silver or cold purple like lilac. I'd neutralize my lip with a pastel green to make it more of a dull cold peach instead of a warm one.

@Noel.Chmielowiec it is sad indeed. People keep them outside or in a small cage. My bunnies are free roam. The only time they're in a cage is when they have to go to the vet. I wish I had a house instead of an apartment so I could foster bunnies too

In my opinion your result is perfect for you. Those trends are very good for inspiration and challenge us to achieve new skills and make them fit to our individual aesthetics. Not everyone can wear every undertone and shade, tweaking the trend so it fits us as good as you did is the goal in my eyes.

The texture was on point! I would maybe make it a bit more saturated? Maybe add a bit more of the reddish pink and cool purpleish pink? It’s super hard to replicate it on lips since it has more than one hue on it, but you did great either way!

I think you need more purple for sure! I like to use Colorgram’s fruity glass tint in number 12 plus the Bbia over glaze stick in number 3 for that purple and for the texture!

Ok, your eye makeup here is soooo fucking incredible it is now my specific inspiration to start wearing makeup again. I’ve been dealing with perioral dermatitus, watery eyes/allergies, and hyperhydrosis and I’ve been so sad I can participate in one of my favorite hobbies. I’m gonna keep working on my health, and in the meantime you see really need to give a tutorial on the eye makeup!!!!!!!

This is such a fun color challenge. You’re definitely on the right track with the blue. The heart of the shade is very bluey-purple. And even though the tongue color is pink, there’s not a lot of warmth. It’s a very cold pink. The colors I see in the rabbit picture is blue, purple, red, a little white. Maybe try a sheer purple gloss that isn’t too overbearing? Or maybe muting the more fuscia looking lip colors would help? Just guessing.

Start with or somehow include something more fushia (magenta)? then work down from there or maybe a super dulled out liner? I dunno, but FUN! Would definitely want to try as hard as I could with purple first, tho. 💜😊
