In this physics lesson, we dive into the concept of buoyant force by analyzing a hypothetical cube submerged in a fluid. We derive the equation for buoyant force, which is the upward force exerted on an object in a fluid, equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the object. Through a detailed analysis, we show that the composition of the object does not affect the buoyant force, only the mass of the fluid displaced and the gravitational field strength. www.flippingphysics.com/buoyan...

After the derivation, I like to add to my students that the buoyant force equaling the weight of the displaced fluid also makes intuitive sense because gravity pulling on the fluid is essentially 'trying' to squeeze the fluid in under the object -- which in fact it can if the object is less dense than the fluid. :)

That totally makes sense. Thanks!

Mr. P I was a child at a candy store to see a ginormous Wonka Bar infront of me and just for me!!! It's was a pleasure to see you again!! Mr P please also make videos about A level curriculum; it has nuclear physics, medical physics and fluid dynamics etc. and I would like to have the best assistance possible from you!

Honestly, this is in my plans, however, my videos take long enough to make that, by the time I have all of these done, you will be past needing them. I will provide as much assistance as I can with my videos, however, I will not compromise quality. Also, please understand that you have asked a lot of questions in KZfaq comments and I really do not have the time to answer questions in KZfaq comments. I have over 80 hours of videos on KZfaq and I get a lot of questions. If I took the time to answer them, I would not have time to make more videos. I hope that makes sense.

@@FlippingPhysics I'm cognizant of the fact that I will be beyond needing them by the time you cover all of them! It was just a reminder perhaps! Also if I have asked you so many questions on KZfaq, which appears as it nags you, then I suppose asking on Instagram would be a better choice. Remember Mr. Jonathan, one best friend is way far better than a thousand acquaintances, and you have really aided me quite a lot! I just would like to leave I-need-someone-to-inform-me-if-I've-solved-it-correctly-so-I-can-proceed dependency like number dependency. I believe you comprehend!

Great one more educational video and kindly suggest , that if the fluid density it´s already define , there is not need to ask to the class what density is about on the final formulation , I guess lead to confusion, recomend just flow with the explanation and make clear afterwords the relation volume and weight as you do after the question.
