Still won most games against England and got to go out with a Six Nations and Pro12. Not bad.

Talbot6832. Neither has Jonah Lomu. Poor argument mate. O'Driscoll came into a team that was the regular wooden spooners of the 5 nations and completely turned it around. I suppose Sergio Parisse must be a shit player too?

***** Fine, but I do think he is every so slightly overrated. Ireland were on the up in 2003, they only lost to a dominant England side that would become the best NH side in history and rank among the best of all time (save for the current NZ team which is just getting boring now). The switch to provincial rugby hit a note circa. 2002 and certainly central contracting has played a big role in allowing the IRFU to develop an effective national team. Can't just use O'Driscoll as the be all and end all.
