I remember contemplating killing myself whilst listening to this on loop one cold winter afternoon. I was stood atop a cliff edge on the outskirts of my hometown - looking out into the distance. This song made me face the painful feelings inside me, memories of my childhood and the sadness I carried with me. This led me to that place, but it also helped me overcome those feelings and see everything as a timeless expanse, a story which continues to unfold. I'm alive today and my story is far from over. I know now that we must forgive others not because they deserve it, but because we deserve peace.

Я помню, как впервые увидел это видео, было относительно недавно, лет мне было 6 как раз, и я его увидел в телефоне брата, пока он отходил куда-то. Посмотрев и услышав эту мелодию, я не мог её забыть, учитывая, для детского мозга, атмосферу хоррора в видео, совмещённое с пугающим звуковым сопровождением. В первый месяц не мог нормально спать из-за неё, сон постоянно превращался спустя пару мгновений в события из видео с той же музыкой. И вот, страх исчез, прошло 13 лет, и я вспомнил музыку, в которой я когда-то ребёнком слышал слова "Птицы в перелёте" (да, их там ни черта не было, но из-за дырявых технологий динамиков они мне слышались), захожу сюда, а ощущения сменились с ужаса на радость. Теперь данный фрагмент вызывает у меня чувство безмятежности, свободы и спокойствия. Я рад, что снова нашёл видео, что стало моей персональной самой первой крипипастой, ещё до джека, смайлдога, scp, слэндера, гроба на колёсиках. Видимо, не зря говорят, что лучший способ запомнить информацию - начать её бояться. Слишком красивая мелодия... до муражек.

Вспоминаю об этой музыке раз в несколько лет, долго ищу и, наконец, слушаю, чтобы потом опять забыть на время, но помнить.

Earlier this month I sat for hours in hospital room witnessing my wife’s mother pass away. All week it rained and would let up only to start again. Dark rain and muted skies would give way to beams of sunlight on occasion, revealing massive cloud formations only to give way and repeat the cycle. This song perfectly sums up my emotional state between her labored breath. The brevity of life. Love is all you take with you, and leave behind.

I don’t know what it is about ambient music like this, but it sometimes makes me so emotional. there’s just something about it that takes me back into a time period where everything is peaceful and before my life had gotten so bad with trauma related stuff. I just listen to it and I can’t help but get so emotional, if I were to describe how I feel while listening to ambient music, it’s like nostalgia mixed with grief.

This loop changed my life.

Whenever I watch(ed) this I enjoy the idea of just these 2 guys stopping their car to look at this phenomenon. Both at the other side of the street, originally going in the opposite directions. Stopping whatever they were planning to do. Now sharing this incredible moment while the other traffic just continues as if there is nothing to see.

This is soul-purifying.

I keep returning to this video from time to time. It is magnificent to see how one simple but powerful audio loop can be amplified by another video clip just as beautiful. Together to create such an emotional punch. Congrats to the author of video. To be able to create such a perfect blend is an art of its own.

I first heard this as a 10th grader. Now im 29, and it's still here. 13 odd years ago, someone filmed a squall of birds moving like a sky-born amoeba, and it has withstood the test of time.
