We've escaped to the wilderness & we're building our home at a cabin in the woods. Subscribe for renovation and life updates every single Sunday x
Who are we?
We're Eamon and Bec, a Canadian couple who previously lived and traveled full-time in our self converted Sprinter Van!! When the pandemic hit earlier this year we made the difficult decision to abandon our van in Africa and fly home to Canada. Now we're here... living at a cabin in the Canadian wilderness. We've always envisioned moving into the woods by the lake and building our dream tiny cabin as a home base for us to come back to in between our international travels. We cannot wait to have a place to call our own!!
Our goal here is to inspire you to chase after your own dreams! We hope to create a community of like-minded, positive individuals who will grow to love and support one another on their own journeys.

Now the real question is should we attempt the igloo build again this week? I spy packing snow in our backyard 👀 ... if so, how do we decide who has to spend the night in the freezing cold fort?!!

Taking him to a behavioral therapist is absolutely the best thing you could ever do for him! It’s awesome that you recognize that! We have always had rescues, but they all bring baggage. Our last dog had a lot of anxieties, and it was a combination of minimizing exposure where dangerous And desensitizing. I think he did great with the other pups!

This episode.... my heart cant even handle it. I’m so happy that Mossa is on the mend. I remember struggling when I first got my pup. Masters of Mischief in Kingston saved my life and gave me so many tricks to help manage her. I’d love to see a Facebook live talking about some of the struggles, I feel like so many people would relate and it’s great to talk about strategies that worked/didn’t work :)

I want to personally thank Bec for expressing her emotions on youtube and not hiding you’re tears. Seeing you fearlessly face your sadness has profoundly helped me express the flux in my own emotions. This has been vital to helping me express my self genuinely. I hope you see this, I love you both. ❤️

My rescue dog was also agressive when I first got her. Her reaction to people was to attack first and ask questions later! ...lol.. no fun for sure. However, over the years as her confidence grew and her feeling safe with me, this issue totally disappeared. I think the best thing I ever did, was to go to dog training lessons with her, it built up my confidence and it was a lot of fun, for both of us and it helped dog and me to connect on a much deeper level. She became the dog I always dreamed she'd be.
