@@grmpf you're actually right. I misspoke. I'm actually referring to the Russia Ambassador building which is a very popular field trip attraction for DCPS students. I went there when I was a teen. It is quite nice. All these years I thought it was the embassy but technically it's not.

In intel context, agents are mostly called assets and they're foreigners who betray their country and conduct espionage. If you're a U.S. citizen employed by the CIA, you're not an agent. Certain people working in the CIA are called officers and there're multiple types of them (case officer, targeting officer, operations officer, etc.).

They pay to ideological quite well too . If you have a mole in CIA, you want to keep him happy. But information has to be real or at least seem to be real. "The bureau chief in Belgrade we all called Slovak the Butcher. He had very little rapport with his staff ..." was just worthless crap. Even though they probably ran it and all bank statesments thru some supercomputer in case there was deep coded messages human wouldnt notice .

The building is Meister Hall (1964), by Marcel Breuer, on the campus of Bronx Community College. The Cohens wanted to be near their family during filming so most of the filming was done in NYC.
