Thanks for the video. Really. I taught my daughter to keep polyester away from fire. Now she understands why and I need to get more silk clothes for her. lol.

I inherited a full bolt of cloth from the 40s and this was the only way I could figure out what it was. Thank you very much

Very impressed with the silk and surprisingly the polyester as I thought it would take a lot less time in the flame to ignite!

Well done! I bought a whole lot of '100% cotton' vests. Somehow they were making me itchy, so I used your video to try and ascertain whether they were indeed 100%.cotton. My only question now is how would I know if it is cotton or bamboo viscose?? Please help! Thank you!

Silk is the best But not the most comfortable... What about latex for latex cloth?
@AnnaCurser2 жыл бұрын
latex should be polyester, maybe plus elastan. so it would just melt the same.

doesnt really help if you try to deternine how much % of this or that a fabric might have. I got a mysterious fabric thats 100% polyester that I cant find in any store anymore. I have no idea if it has a name so its impossible to reorder. Shop owner told me to do a burning test but ... what for? its polyester. What else can you learn?

So if you're gonna set yourself on fire, just don't wear polyester 😬
