You were using a 1.25% mix there's no way you killed those plants

As a painter I have tarped hedges all day to paint . A few days later and all the leaves on the top of the hedges turned from green to brown ! In only 3 days time ! This may not be your fault !!!

You have a great attitude towards an honest mistake. It's good that you had help paying for it. Feel good about helping a lot of others avoid the same situation. Be very grateful that you were not looking at Japanese maples!

Helpful and much appreciated. Seems like a clear case of maintaining reputation vs. actually causing the damage. Tarping plants for 3 days (especially if it wasn't Tyvek [breathable]) would be the prime culprit in this case. Noted too that the boxwoods were already stressed on THE DAY of the wash and BEFORE you arrived. But I totally get it... accept responsibility... maintain integrity... and live to wash another day. Lessons learned.

Was there anything that you could have done differently, with the current weather conditions, to prevent this?

Not your fault I work at a major theme park I showed my landscaping team and they said they suffocated due to being covered. We have these plants everywhere.

You like us have the same integrity. Unfortunately those shrubs were on there way out anyway. There were a few that were replaced that I could see in your vids. All you did was help them die a bit faster. They should have been pulled long ago and replaced before you even did the job.

when you said your house wash mix is 90 gallons of water and 10 gallons of SH ( this = about a 1%) are you down streaming that? if you are down streaming that mix would be so weak it wouldn't do a thing to clean or kill plants. maybe i misheard and you and you said 9 gallons of water or your applying directly.

i agree with others on here. Doesn't seem like you caused this if you look at the plants in your work video. That being said - I'm curious what you would use to clean the building if you had this to do over again?
