After all the requests, here it is!! A Full HD real time fireplace recording, longer than 2 hours, with logs and pine cones being thrown on the fire! This pops, crackles, hisses and produces all the fireplace sounds you can imagine... ;) It's recorded from start to finish, so it starts with a pile of wood/logs and ends with smouldering embers! :)
If you stream this to your widescreen TV, it's really like having a humongous fireplace in your home, sweating guaranteed!

I think this is my favorite so far. I'm not sure because I like the wind, rain and thunder so much in another one. This one seems to burn down and then gets tended, a nice touch in itself, and gets brighter. It looks a lot better when I roll over and see it reflecting off the wall. I've been away for a while and forgot how much I love this channel. Thank you again, Virtual Fireplace.

I will add to what everyone else has said. I love this real time fireplace. It reminds me of growing up with a wood stove and adding logs to the fire and listening to it do its thing while I read a book. This reminds me of how thankful I am that I grew up before the internet and all its distractions came about. The 80s was a special time.

I look at your fire because living in the city, I don't have a fireplace. It's been a long time since I saw a real fireplace and felt the heat of the flames... If I miss the heat, the crackling of the fire is present ... Thank you for this pleasant moment....

This is just wonderful!! It came up on my auto play as I slept. When I heard a sudden scraping noise & thud happen - around 50:10 - I woke up, a little startled. But then I saw the hand & arm of someone stoking the fire back to life and I just had to smile.....it was almost identical to being up at the old cabin, drowsing in front of the fire and, then, waking up to my husband tending to the fire so I could be warm & safe. Thank you so much for including that part!! It was wonderful! :)

I LOVE this video so much. It’s real! It isn’t a loop. You see it start out from a small fire in the beginning, you watch it grow, and it varies. It isn’t a loop, and I love it! It keeps going because someone continues to actually put wood on the fire. I’m glad it’s on here. It’s what I was looking for in every other fireplace video. Very well done!! It’s my favorite.

This is my personal favorite fireplace video. I found this last year and loved this video. I finally found it this year and so happy. I play it on every TV in the house. There is just something about the realistic burning and I love the part where you see a person adding logs to the fire. For some reason to me that is so comforting. I thank you for this video. Rewarding indeed to have a real attended fire. Thank you. Noisy weather is a fine accompaniment to a crackling fire, so I like to open some other clips, blizzard and wind sounds, in the background and have your fire full-screen. It makes my bedroom much more intriguing than mere white noise. This hot coffee makes it rather like my own Trekkie holodeck. Computer, make this a century ago. I'm in a sturdy log cabin, porch and all, on a grassy plateau halfway up the pine-studded side of a hill... it's late evening, moonlight behind fast drifting clouds illuminates a valley, its steep sides going down to a winding river below... my dog and my rifles, my horse and mule in the stable built-on, my enamel coffee pot piping on the cast iron range out back. A rude table and chair, a stack of split logs, a rocking chair, an old couch with a quilt and blankets, a bottle of whisky and some books; Zane Grey adventure stories, the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius, an anthology of poetry, Thoreau's Walden, and a pouch of tobacco and a pipe. Distant thunder rumbles. I'm reading by lamplight, puffing away and stroking my dog between her ears. Tomorrow, we go hunting. This recurrent imagining will often "... flash upon that inward eye which is the bliss of solitude".

If only we had smellavision! Love, love, love the pine cones & can imagine the wonderful smell of them. This is gonna be my all time fav to transfer to the big screen while having dinner with friends & family. Also especially with it snowing outside in the background & we even have a wood stove! Ha! Thank you & please keep making more fireplace videos, maybe 8hrs worth? Grateful for 2hrs though!

In the beginning, the fire was dim. I love how it slowly started intensifying on it's own throughout this video..... The flames *completely* die down on their own terms as well. It's beautiful.🔥

I've had fireplaces for 50 years burning many types of wood; oak, pecan, juniper, etc.. Each type has a distinct sound. Juniper sounds like a fireworks show--and how most of the fires here on KZfaq. Hardwoods like pecan and oak burn much more like this video. They have a steady lower crackle sound with only an occasional snap. There is a reason people choose their firewood. Want calming? Choose hardwood (or this video). Want fireworks that are not so calming? Go for Juniper (or the other videos.

If you want to improve the quality of the recording, EQ down the lower frequencies that are being unnaturally captured by the camcorder--or use a small speaker which cannot produce those lower frequencies.

OK, guilty pleasure confession: I've nicknamed this video "The Manly Hand". It's playing when I'm working at home and every time company is over. My single girlfriends and I squeal when we spot the manly hand poking at the fire, adding logs and pinecones.
