there is only one Burning Spear. Winston Rodney, love and respect for one of the most intense roots artists ever. I first saw Burning Spear at a small night club in Redondo Beach back in early 80's. One of the best concerts Ive ever been lucky enough to attend.

Agree; this one of the most richest, soulful, spiritual voices of concious Reggae teachers there is. Saw him at the Beverly Theatre in Beverly Hills 1985 or 86; again at the Music Machine; also 2022 at the KZfaq Theater, wonderful/spiritual person. Jah Bless

Good album indeed. I saw Burning Spear in 1983. I had the cassette so i listened to those songs many many times. This was before de CDs were availaible in america. I still have a large collection of reggae cassettes. Rare stuff. Like a copy of Marcus Garvey signed by Winston Rodney alias Burning Spear.🔱🔥

Burning Spear must be the most consistent reggae artist there is, quality-wise - I've not heard anywhere near all of Winston's releases, but every single one I've heard has ranged from very good to great... and he has quite a vast back catalogue!

He is a great worshipper and encourager, where as Marley teaches every man everywhere, victim and villain. Spears makes me want just to light it up and skank. Bob leaves me thinking had sometimes. Eg "Its a foolish dog that barks ata flying bird" yet is not even talking about dogs and birds!
