My Curse is still one of the most amazing tracks ever composed period, and using it in a racing game too is just perfect. I knew for a fact you were gonna do a Girlfriend bit in this too but still found it clever how you used American Psycho clips for all of them. Always love your stuff man

Three years ago, I completed 100% of the game in the last event (maniac in ocean drive) with Friction playing the last two laps on my ps2 without crashing and without losing the burnout sequence. I got a streak of 38 burnouts in that event with Friction's lyrics ending up symbolizing a tough journey that never made me give up despite the difficulties. That hits really hard to this day for me. I love this game and its melancholic soundtrack

The fact most of these tracks made it into burnout paradise when that first released is a testament to how good they are. I didn’t play dominator too much, but it’s good to see I didn’t really miss out in the soundtrack department Paradise on the other hand.. played so much of that. I still play the remastered on series S ❤

i think its just licensing. in burnout legends soundtrack, its the same as burnout revenge. i think they just use whatever music that they have available.

Don't cite as the source for this, but I swear I once read Dominator was suppose to be a PS2/PSP port of Paradise, which is why there is overlap in the soundtrack between the two games, but I can't remember where I read that.

I hadn't played Dominator in a while, had forgot it had a banger of a soundtrack while playing it on PSP...also I def didn't mind the original version of Girlfriend, but listening to the Spanish version (as a native Spanish speaker; greetings from Venezuela) made me remember I specifically removed that one out of the rotation because how it sounded like Breaking Bad espanglish dialogue lol

Us V them wasn't in Dominator. It still blows my mind Girlfriend has FOUR FUCKING VERSIONS and they're all in the SAME FUCKING GAME (I will forever hate Dominator for that). Going Through Changes will forever be one of the most painful licensed songs I've ever heard in a racing game (hearing it for the first time as a middle schooler dealing with changes permanently fucked me up). AAAAAND, it's a straight tragedy Girlfriend made it onto the Paradise OST but not Long Way Out. A song that was also probably my favorite in the game.

Both of the games were being worked on at the same time so the licenses hadn't expired yet, so they just put the Dominator music they could in Paradise + some new tracks.

Except for the open world, missing aftertouch hability, weird checkpoint system and weird hitbox system, Burnout Paradise have better variety of vehicles, better graphics, better city level design and different songs that are not present on Dominator.
