I listened to a Burson 3X Reference yesterday with my Aeon Noir's. Compared to my Fiio K9 Pro, it is so buttery smooth. The K9 is super detailed but it also gives me fatigue and tinnitus on some music at respectable/safe levels, where as the Burson feels like my ears are being massaged using only the finest body oils. I need it now!

I have the BURSON AUDIO Playmate 2 using AUDEZE LCD2C's and there is zero noise in the background no matter what volume you use. Really enjoyed this CONDUCTOR 3 Full Review, definitely a future purchase.

I own the Burson 3X Performance and think its a pretty solid piece….pairs well with the Arya’s.

Pairs well with HE6SE ADORAMA edition too, actually, it pairs well with everything I've thrown at it. Hifiman, Audeze and Sennheiser.

Could you use the Audio-gd DAC with the Burson amp and give us your impressions? Likewise for the Burson DAC with the Audio-gd amp?

I have had some bad opamps before in my Bursons that has always exposed itself as a hiss or a hum in my headphones. I figured out it was an op amp by putting in the basic ones that came extra with the amp and the problem was gone (pick black background). So I guess if you have a Burson amp try changing the op amps if you have hiss or fuzzy noise.

I think the slight hiss I was hearing was coming from the display? It got loader on bright, but the gain switch, and volume had no effect.

@@theheadphoneexperience-wil2250 If it could only be heard on the silence between tracks then I bet what you were hearing was due to that and sensitive headphones. Mine was apparent as soon as I turned on the amplifier with nothing producing sound.

@@theheadphoneexperience-wil2250 could have been a faulty opamp? That is atleast an easy fix to test and run until you get a replacement V6 replacement. It is an excellent amp.

The burson conductor I'm looking at has balanced xlr on the front. How come this one doesn't?

This is the Conductor 3R. the Conductor 3XR is balanced. $1744.00 vs. $2144.00

I just ordered Burson 3r but I'm affraid it could be too powefull for my lsa hp 2 . What are your thoughts ? If I'm going to hear hiss and noise I will most likely try ifi audio optimizer . Or maybe you reccommend diferent dac and amp for lsa hp 2 . Right now I'm using smsl d300 dac and rnhp amp but I coudnt pass on great deal on demo Burson 3r for $699 ...

The Burson C3R will be fine with the HP-2 when it is on low gain. There should be no hiss.

@@theheadphoneexperience-wil2250 What do you think will sound better with lsa hp 2 , burson 3r or lsa hyperdrive 2 you reviewed with external dac ? Which amp have more bass ?

@@marekkordzik7517 The HP-2 is very efficient and doesn't need much power. Do you have other headphones? My favorite amp for the HP-2 is the Feliks Audio Echo. Warms up the HP-2 a bit. I'll try the HP-2 with the Burson Conductor 3 Reference and make sure there is no hiss. I know you are worried about that.

Although I appreciate the time and effort you put into this review, I was disappointed to see 42 minutes of review and not a single mention of what might be the most important feature of this device, the op amps and the possibility to roll them off. I have gone through so many reviews and even the only one or two that describe this feature and compare op amps, NONE compare the main two used in this amp, and in which of the two optional locations you have for each op amp, you have what type of sound. If you are around the corner from the factory, you could buy one single and one dual for both the classic and the vivid, experiment and return those that are not your cup of tea. If you're at the other end of the world that is not so easy, aside from the fact that they are about 90 bucks each. So, potential customers depend on the opinions of reviewers... if we could only find what we are looking for. Cheers

Back when I did my review of the Burson FUN. I did mention and compare 2 op amp options. This time I only received the amp with no other op amps. You are correct that I should have mentioned the ability to swap op-amps.
