“Progressive” is the most misleading term in political history The “progression” you so foolishly admire is behind the depravity prevalent in 2024 American “culture.”

I had the honor as a young actor of working with him later in his career in Tough Guys in a co star role Only as an older person when I was able to view his work did I realize how brilliant he was. His monologue in Judgement in Nuremburg is profound as well as so many other roles. . He was so kind to me during our breaks on set. He keeps inspiring me to do good work. Thanks Mr. LANCASTER. 😊

I’m glad that we can all be together to celebrate the golden age of Hollywood. I’ll be sure to ensure my children know the names of all the finest golden age films and actors. What a time to be an actor! Just to add Orson Welles as Edward Rochester in Jayne Eyre showcases another giant in the acting world phenomenal performance, Welles voice has to be the most powerful one surely in the golden age alongside Clark Gable

Mr Lancaster didn't do many television interviews so this is rare,a very strong intelligent man, interested Ng t hear him say he wasn't religious ,in a traditional way and yet he believed in a higher power, great talker, I think if you were to hold a conversation with him and keep up with him you would have to know your stuff, sham this was so short.great post.cah see why he and Kirk Douglas got on, both very similar.

@@RussMcClay i literally am just finishing this movie and i have to agree .. truly incredible. As the comment above mentions , all his own stunts we're obvious and surprising , in part of some of the things he actually did .. getting kicked off a train , taking a hard fall after getting shot . There was no cut or anything throughout the scene so you know it was him doing these stunts which makes him as an actor all the more impressive

Burt Lancaster was an immensely talented actor in who had the innate ability to elevate a character he portrayed to a high degree of charm, pathos, sensitivity, and stark realism as well. His portrayals of the various people in every film he acted in was a true work of art and genuinely authentic performance of the craft of acting. A legend of screen and stage was what Burt Lancaster truly was.

Lancaster was a force of nature and, though he’s somewhat dismissed these days, he was quite a trailblazer. Never played it safe as an actor, always challenging himself to portray a variety of characters. The clearest diction of any actor, especially after Brando turned mumbling into an art form. Lancaster was also a great supporter of the civil rights movement, when others like John Wayne and Gary Cooper, among many others, were opposed to FDR’s and LBJ’s achievements. Even at the end, he would take small parts in quality films - Local Hero, Field of Dreams.
