My GF always thought it was dumb to get emotionally attached to a machine but I get why you made the Goodbye Vids. I felt the same way about my 1st truck in high school. Broke my heart when a tree fell on it after graduation. I actually cried for a few minutes. Maybe it's a guy thing.

Too bad about 147 but it's nice to hear it is going to a good home and back into regular use. Unrelated, but Cabell's old 659 turned up for sale on Facebook Marketplace up north here in Maine, two hours from me. Was surprised to see a bus from a "familiar" district lol. Completely gutted though.

My school retired a bus that I’d love to see get a good home it’s a 1990 international 3800 Wayne shorter bus manual trans and it’s in amazing shape only had 74k miles it was rarely used there asking 4k for it

I wouldn’t buy another one. I’d put your money elsewhere or put it into 23. Wouldn’t make sense to have 2 imo now for how much insurance costs. I’m sure it’s not cheap on the big buses. Liability on my mircorbird is 110 a month, but I do drive it around so it’s worth it I guess

about 3 years ago it was up for auction and he tried really hard to bid for it (the bus he rode in his childhood) but it didn’t go the way he wanted it.

Maybe wait for getting a second bus a finished doing what you have to do with 23 im if you decide to get a second bus look into Georgia buses they keep them in pretty decent shape and you don't have worry about rush under the body!

I really would like to own a Thomas FS-65 with high head room and a 5.9L Cummins. But the engine isn't common to own on Thomas Freightliners. It is common on Blue-Birds. Thomas's mostly come with the Mercedes-Benz 906 CAT 3126 or CAT C7. Not that I wouldn't own either. But I don't know much about the CATERPILLAR Diesel engines. The Mercedes is also a great engine. Blue-Bird FS-65's don't come with Mercedes-Benz engines.
