Matatu drivers often bluff that they are among the best drivers to even the level of Safari rally, but often obstacles like bad roads and traffic jams mask their inadequacies. Faced with a smooth road, they become like a proud man alone with a beautiful woman whose manhood takes leave. In kenya the worst accidents are often on the best roads.

Kenyan drivers need to wake up from their sleep, the road is good. You should know what an express way is before you open your mouth over bumps and so on. The toll must be in place, you have to pay if you can't use the alternative route down there. Check on your driving, you can't blame the engineering when you can't use your brain to determine the appropriate speed in whatever situation you are in. Adhere to the rules and regulations failure by should attract the best punitive fines. And a point to note, don't leave your brain at home.

stop attacking our own the problem is not driving schools fellow Kenyan. Why are Kenyans this stupid? when did you go for a driving class. NTSA improved issuing of driving licenses some years ago and every one receiving their driving license currently must go to a driving school. These drivers have drove for years on this roads and they've never made any accidents. Do you think that their competence is to blame? The problem is the road not our drivers. very substandard just small mistakes costing breathes of people.

But we also have qualified and experienced drivers who get involved in accidents, I think NTSA made it clear that the main cause of accidents on our roads is overspeeding which is wat that bus was doing and driving under the influence of alcohol

Am not an Engineer but I can point out the fact that the Engineers who supervised the construction of this road were just asleep. I suppose that our roads should support the grip for breaks to reduce speed but almost 500m towards the exit of this road is a smooth colored floor which does not support reduction of speed even after breaks so this high speed vehicles just slide instead of stopping. our government officials are out to praise what they think they have done but not the danger they have brought to us- death + debt.

In making a good Kenya for the people but not for the leaders, leaders should consult the people before any doing that touches the citizens and that's what happens in developed countries.

What could be the problem....perhaps the pumps and or rumble strips before the toll station exit are too low, smooth and therefore not able to signal or slow down the vehicles..There should be a SIGN some meters before the toll..me thinks

@@collinsmubea6972 Almost but not quite. If there is any loan, then it is a loan to the contractor which he may use to construct the road. The contractor will then "own" the road for the next 26 or so years. During that period, the contractor will charge a toll to use "his" road to earn a return on his investment. After the said 26 or so years, the road will revert to the Govt at no cost.

Isurvived this accident the driver was drunk and overspeeding I was to alight at Mlolongo after telling the conductor to tell the driver to stop ovespeedinding I'm almost alighting is when he realized it was too late 😢

Not a black spot. previously there was no a foot path and people used to cross just on the road which has no bumps no nothing, that's why many people where hit while crossing. you've been there for 7 years we've around for more years. can you give us the number of accidents that have occurred since the foot path was set? PSV should have very short term time limits like 6 months and renewal should be based on driving record, safety record, drug and alcohol tests and a health certificate to verify that a holder is healthy to operate a psv throughout the term of psv licensee

@@adrianochieno6131 My freind, alot of Kenyans have fake driving licenses where as they dint attend any driving school and they are now on the road. Mind you those fake licences are fully registered and legal. This is a problem with the National government being corrupt. Almost all our institutions are corrupt. Take that into consideration, there should be another system where everything is digital and nobody should be allowed to stop and pay cash. Let traffic flow not be interrupted.

Let the Government just remove this lot of vehicles called Matatus from the Express Way. They are going to mess up the entire infrastructure of the road. For all you know, now they are only thinking how they are going to mint more money with the reduced driving time from Mlolongo to town and back, and no care for human lives.

The purpose of this road was for speed fellow Kenyan. Do you want to tell this bus driver who has been driving for more than 5 years daily on this road does not understand that he is supposed to stop at the check point to exit? Kenyans lets be wise and stop attacking our own for no reason. The problem is the road not our drivers. if you are a driver just take your time and drive along and experience the grip especially towards the main entrances and exits.

The first incident some days ago was clearly drunk driving, this one involving matatu is clearly a mechanical issue, lack of breaks or something like that. Someone has pointed out lack of headlights too. Unfortunately Kenyans turn religious to shield this kind of recklessness, we burry our heads in the sand instead of using reason to respond to logical issues.
