Puerto Iguazú (Porto Iguaçu in Portuguese) is a city in the province of Misiones, Argentina.
Located 18 km from the Iguaçu Falls area, the city is part of an urban area known in the region as the Triple Frontier, which also includes the Brazilian city of Foz do Iguaçu in the state of Paraná, and the Paraguayan city of Ciudad del Este in the Alto Paraná Department. It is rich in natural beauty and diversity.
Separated from its neighbors by the Paraná River (from Ciudad del Este) and the Iguaçu River (from Foz do Iguaçu), Puerto Iguazú is connected to the latter via the Tancredo Neves International Bridge, linking RN 12 and BR-469 highways. The population of Puerto Iguazú in 2010 was 80,020 inhabitants, according to the census. It is the smallest of the cities comprising the Triple Frontier (Foz do Iguaçu, Ciudad del Este, and Puerto Iguazú).
