So happy I got to meet them and see them again for a second time on May 16th. Told GAVIN that this was our song that my husband and I danced to after we became man & wife. He passed in Oct of 2022. Bush came to my city and had a concert on February 24 which is my husband's birthday. I also told Gavin that too. He said beautiful. Means so much to much.🖤🌹🫶

This is one of the three most important songs for me. It takes me right back to 1999, being only 19. I left Europe for the first time to live in the US for a year. One of the first nights there, sitting in the car of my host parents, turquiose skies over the calm waters of the Long Island Sound. Radio on, Glycerine. A core memory was being created in that moment. Complete freedom. I will definitely kill my loved ones if they don't play this song at my funeral in the hopefully very distant future. Thank you Bush for this (and many others) incredible song!

At first, I didn't like the singing because it lacked enthusiasm and sounded phoned-in (in the literal sense of the word). It was really bothering me up until the end of Gylcerine when I caught what was actually happening. He downplays the singing during the less impactful sections, then dials it up to 11 during the best parts for the maximum range between extremes. All of Grunge was based on the Loud/Quiet/Loud/Quiet dichotomy, so that's expected. The range between extremes here is not volume, but intensity and effort. Bush is awesome.
