STORYLINE:
US President George W. Bush and US Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, the leading US Democratic presidential contender, met on Friday with Northern Ireland's once-bitter enemies now joined in peaceful power-sharing.
Northern Ireland's First Minister and Protestant leader Ian Paisley and Deputy First Minister and former Irish Republican Army leader Martin McGuinness met with Clinton at a hotel ahead of a White House visit later in the day with President George W. Bush.
The two are visiting to drum up US investment in Northern Ireland.
"I know one way we can help, and that is to encourage our business leaders to take a good look at the economic opportunities that Northern Ireland presents," said Bush.
"I'm proud of your accomplishments," he added.
