Season 6 - Episode 1! With so much to learn from our Aboriginal friends, Season 6 goes deep into their culture observing the WILD FOODS (bush tucker) that are all around us but appear to be invisible to most. Gkuthaarn man Jordan and I explore the land and rivers around this remote part of Northern Australia for all sorts of tucker from eating every part of a Barramundi to Lillies and cook everything up on the fire.
I hope you enjoy the journey.

Well worth the wait. What a cracking start to season 6. Such amazing country and with Jordan showing the way. It's people like him that are the future of Indigenous culture and knowledge and we are very privileged to have him showing us (through Wild Reaches) his incredible home country. Fisherman is a strange strange breed, we once fished on the reef and Caught Hassa which everyone else turned their noses up at because you could catch truckloads of them, But like Catfish, cooked well many fish that you are told is rubbish are far from it. so when it comes to food I follow very simple philosophies that good food that is prolific and easily caught equals less energy wasted. Cheers from Garry

I was scrolling through the comments to see if anyone else had commented about the passionfruit being native to south america. I found the comment. Wild reaches is a great channel. I love to see shows about outback australia, especially ones that aren't over produced by tv corporations. I used to love Malcolm Douglas, Harry Butler in the wild and others. Just normal Aussie blokes doing their adventures and recording it all for others to see. Great work.

@@manicmasterofmetal2620 It's a minor correction, and an easy fopar when delivering content in the field, but when one is talking about bush tucker I think it is an important delineation....... I think they refered to it as Wild Passionfruit most of the time (which is its common name). Many people also incorrectly claim Rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa) is an Aussie native......however it is also an introduced species, originally native to west Africa.
