Bushkill Park 1940s Easton, Pa. This is actually a combination of three different films already posted. The Roller Coaster ride has been roughly spliced together for the appearance of one longer ride. please enjoy!!

I have such wonderful memories of this place as a child.. truly magical.. I can feel it even now at 31 and can't wait to bring my child

I love rides like that. There are a few still around such as Laffland at Sylvan Beach.

Me too I went on it when I was little with my mom and dad .Then when I was a teenager.They used to have a mop drop down but they removed it.

I have 8mm and 16mm movie film scanners, and this is on some of the footage I scanned.

I have so many fond memories of the park and pool! the sad part of this park is the Bushkill creek has ruined this park and here is why! some genius everionmeltist decided to take out all the stone bridges which held water back then they took out the dams on this creek! why you ask? to make it natural again!! now when the rains come that park floods because there is nothing to control the water!

I rode that merry go round frequently. I played in that pool. I polished the barrel of fun with my butt! I bumped in the bumper cars. I spent pennies at the penny arcade. You could see two old locomotives crash into each other on a mutoscope! It kills me that Bushkill Park fell into disrepair. I read that some of the carousel horses were the most valuable kind and were stolen! What happened to the two band organs that played as the merry go round turned, I don't know. I lived at 909 Greenhill Avenue. Just cut through the woods, cross Bushkill Creek, and I was there! I remember the long-time owner. She used to keep an eye on us kids. I am looking forward to going there when God makes Heaven on Earth!!! I check on my house sometimes. It seems sad. If I could afford it, I'd move back in and make it happy again!

Two different turn arounds on the Coaster. One, the older version is a drop curve, the other a high flat turn.

Yes - it originally crossed the creek. After damage from two floods and likely the sale of a parcel of land, the trip was truncated, and the coaster turned before the creek.

@@kafeathers821 I immagine that made some of the airtime on the return run absolutely bonkers. I wish I could time travel to experience Bushkill park in it's heyday, ie 1966, the year they had both Comet and Wild Mouse.

1967 according to RCDB. According to the park owners there was a death on the coaster. It's a shame, if you look at 1:31 it appears it would have had some awesome airtime dedpite not being super impressive stats wise.

I think it was Hurricane Ivan in 2004

It was Ivan in 2004 but there is a revival effort going on. The Funhouse still stands, the slide has been restored and they're looking at having the rest restored for next season. Sadly though even in 2004 the park was a shell of it's former self, the coaster wasremoved in the 1960s because of a death (it was replaced with Dorney's Schiff Wild Mouse, but that was remoced in the 80s), the Haunted Pretzel dark ride had burned down, and the pool had been filled in (and the Wild Mouse is burried down there). Today the park isn't allowed to use that land because it's right next to Bushkill Creek and flood risk is super high. Still a fun place to visit with super nice people running it, vintage buildings, and the best scrambler in the world.
