Well said. I have no problem with companies taking their core line whiskies and trying something new with them. It at least makes for something new.

It is nice that brands like Bushmills or Jameson are offering something just a little more sophisticated and interesting with some casking variations.... this one sounds like a very nice offering! Thanks Matt!

Matt this Caribbean Rum Cask Finish sounds like it elevates this Bushmills white label whisky very nicely! I think the flavours you tasted sound delicious and I'd love to try this whisky in some delicious cocktails! I'm excited to see the Tiki cocktail made with this tasty whisky on Friday! Terrific review! I enjoyed it so much! Cheers!! 🙂

A lot of whiskies adding finishing, especially rum!! Sounds like a big improvement to white label. We might have to grab a bottle!! Cheers

On balance, I think I prefer the Tully Rum finish, it's a little softer, but it's also a little more drinkable, especially on a warm day like today!

Rum finished whiskeys get a bad rep, accusations of tired casks. The Plantation Stiggins Fancy Rum aged in Telling peated casks is very good for money

Couldn't agree more! I reviewed the Teeling Stiggins Fancy a few weeks ago (and made a cocktail with it) and it's a really nice whiskey
