What it’s like to ✈️ fly Business Class on American
Airline w/ “lie flat seats.” 787/777.
1. One of the best domestic business classes as well as a great option for international “if you get the lie flat seat only”. The non-lie flat is a recliner seat common on must short haul flights. Be aware of this ⚠️ as you may be paying the same as someone with a lie-flat, but you got the recliner bc you picked the wrong plane🫤.
*Google flights is the best tool to show you what planes have the recliner and which ones are lie-flat 👍
2. AA is operating 684 domestic flights with lie-flat seats. So chances of finding a plane that has lie-flat are good. AA is increasing these numbers monthly.
3. We fly AA business class ( the lie-flat only) for most of our world travels. Due to americans massive roster of routes
4. Admiral lounges are some of the nicest lounges (especially in the states). 50 world wide. In our experience they are rarely packed with people and incredibly relaxing with great food and drinks.
5. The business class seats 💺 are incredibly comfortable, with plenty of room. The food/drinks and entertainment are great with a wide selection.
6. No need to book first. Business is just as good. (For the lie flat seat). AA is doing away with first class in name only. Their business class is more than enough and always has been great.

I’ve flown on a 777/300 and a 777/200 first class twice and loved it!

This is bs no American airline looks like this 😂..you pay first class and most of them don’t have entertainment perhaps the larger plane but that’s rare to board them since the demand has to be high

Hi, I've been watching flight prices and planning for my honeymoon trip (first time overseas). I want to stick with AA/British Airways and have been checking Business class. Is lie flat the same as full flat? My research has conflicting answers. Hoping to fly AA Business class to Heathrow then use BA to fly into Amsterdam.

That’s because a lot of domestic flights’ first class is basically an international premium economy or business at best.

For us it definitely depends on the length of the flight, the plane and airline. If the price tag doesn’t matter then it’s always worth it. 😂 for us, we try to do business class when flights are longer than 6 hours. To us that makes it worth it.

I say it is. TBH, I always go at least economy plus or premium economy due to my long legs, but I only really splurge for first or business class on longer flights where the flight time warrants the purchase.

As far as US carriers go, United, with their, United Polaris Business Class, is an equal if not superior experience when it comes to long-haul international flights (in my opinion).

We had that same mindset for a long time. Google flights!! Use it and being flexible with dates has helped us to be able to do so. We have found that it’s more attainable than one thinks. Also, sometimes we get creative meaning we take a shorter flight in economy to get to a cheap business class flight.
