At what point should you hire a bookkeeper? I currently spend a lot of time keeping my books, but this seems a little expensive for my first year. Any recommendations revenue threshold?

when you can afford it i guess.. Most bookkeepers will charge at least $400-$500 a month

I’d think of it this way: Let’s say I can make sales of $800 in the time it takes me to do my books and a bookkeeper would charge me $500 to do the books, I’d hire the bookkeeper and spend my time making sales because the opportunity cost of doing the books myself is greater than that of making the sales.

Hi Hector. I am just starting as a freelance bookkeeper. A CPA wants to use my services but I don't how price my service? Example clean up or catch up service, or basic bookkeeping? since pricing might be different from charging a customer directly. How do handle this?

Look at the work, estimate the workload, and give it a fixed price.. give the CPA options in terms of level of detail and timing
