In this episode of Business To You, Lars continues to talk about the internal organization by introducing Porter's Value Chain Analysis. The Value Chain is a great framework to examine the internal organization in addition to the VRIO Framework. It allows a more structured approach of assessing where in the organization true value is created and where costs can be reduced in order to boost the margins. It also allows to improve communication between departments.

Hi Lars, I don't have words actually to say anything. My MBA Professors have taught me garbage and I have been crying to finish my assignments properly. But, here you, you an angel. You yourself don't even realise how easy you have made everything for me. I have watched Porter's 5 forces and VRIO. It seems so easy. So so happy I have found you. Thank you very much for existing.

Another brilliant video by Lars. These videos are masterpieces of communication. There is a vast difference between reading Porter's original books on the subject and Lar's clear interpretation of what the hell he's talking about! As a lecturer for b2b marketing I find this video extremely useful. I am glad I found this resource and plan to use it in my teaching. Porter's value chain is an old concept and it is clearly modelled on a traditional firm that manufactures hardware. It would be a useful complement to explain how the VC applies to service industry.
