Went for a day trip down south to busselton jetty with the family targeting squid. As we approached the end of the jetty we where greeted with schools of southern blue fin tuna leaping out chasing bait fish. For approximately 10 minutes of casting a 120mm jackson stickbait (only lure i had that could cast far enough) i had one hit and decide to throw little 5g-10g metals, but couldnt entice a bite so i decide to give up and throw a little zman grub plastic to try and entice a skippy or herring. Out of no where a pack of tuna race strait towards the plastic and the fight was on! Unfortunately the results came in at Tuna-1 Tim-0 and left me devastated! If we had a net, gaf or slightly heavier gear it would have been a different story. It was still a memorable fight and i was glad to watch the fish swim off strong in the end 😊
