No the fuck he didn’t/wasnt. A man like Bustah don’t do shit for anyone else or to be followed. You have to understand this man was literally a leader… Since then, in his solo career and in everything he has done he has garnered the respect and done so because he is authentic. He don’t do shit for anything besides himself and the culture and any who follow, cool. Those who dont? They are going the wrong way and will one day soon (hopefully) course correct or stay lost… Either way, Bustah will be busting them rhymes, saluting those who deserve it, guiding those who are lost, even just a little closer to the light and spreading love and knowledge like a real OG is supposed to. My man is still active and you’d have to dig hard to find someone with more clout and respect in this game than that man, I mean from everyone too to bottom, from fan to contemporary, to those who came after, those who are about the business and money as well as those about the craft and culture. Joyner and Recently Tobe have garnered these type of reactions from Buss and it’s genuine love and appreciation and nothing else. The fact that he is comfortable and secure with himself enough to spread and share those feelings, shows that we have real Lags and that hip hop has aged gracefully and towards the arc of justice and goodness in ways and in a time when it was thought that it never would by people who love to comment but never should.

+zlistcelebrity Although you are correct, you can't undermine the amount of craftsmanship it takes to put something like this together. I think the video to the song puts in a class of its own. Watching the video with the song gives you a totally different experience from watching it without it. That should say something about Nas's song too...the fact that his words were so vivid that it's on the same level as two songs with videos.

Busta was absolutely right, I haven't heard a rapper do a song like this since Nas and not only do you have Busta putting your song up there with Nas but you're the only two in that category at all. I think rappers have found what works best to make money and they know hit songs and songs that get played the most on the radio either have a good beat, have a famous feature, have a dance, or a line or phrase that goes viral. Not to say that rappers that are getting famous are all bad or all mumble rappers but they definitely aren't using music to its full potential.

That’s what i was thinking!!!!! How can any legit lyricist not be familiar with Nas’ whole catalogue, among other lyrical Samurais of course?!?! Next thing you know, dude will say, “Who’s Common, or Mos Def, or De La Soul, or... the list could go on forever.” Sad result of a new youtube-hot-minute-hit-every-week culture; there’s no history, or depth. Everything is surface, emotional, and immediate.
@doubleo25516 жыл бұрын
Bruh , just because he ain't heard of every single nas song you like doesn't mean he ain't a real mc. Shit even old school hip hop heads have a preference. Like even old hip hop has genres someone who likes 90s grimey new york underground rap might not like westcoast gansta rap, Or someone who likes groups like tribe won't like someone talking about iggornant shit. Nas was an amazing lyricist, but he rapped about ignorant bullshit most of the time.

Busta had a similar reaction to me the first time after watching this video, I was at a loss for words, like this video made me feel some type of way, the way it was. Designed and everything is just simply amazing

Joyner, practically, got compared to nas "the gun" level (and Eminem "stan" too) which is....PHENOMENAL!

its great to see rappers paying respect to greatness. It makes such a change from all the bullshit beef, rivalry and flashness. Keep supporting each other to take the game to new levels.
