I have a neighbor that went through the same thing with his Bobcat. His dealer is one of the most respected in the city. He finally gave him a full refund so he could buy a new Kubota from the same dealer.

Absolutely go to another dealership. Where I live there are two automotive dealers from the pioneer in North American automobiles. One of those dealers easily falls under the category of 'never going back there' while the other is stellar. Word of mouth in the industry will also put pressure on this dealership. Use public forums and consider local TV Investigative Journalist if you have one. Just remember, never write (and send) anything while you are mad.

Amen to dealer support. I really wanted to get a b2601 last year. I have a large Kubota dealer next to me who offered me a decent offer and so I tried working with them for almost 6 month trying to get them to find me b2601, factory order it or dealer trade it. They sell a lot of construction equipment and large AG equipment so me wanting to buy a compact tractor they kept treating me like I was nuisance to them, like I was bugging them. Long story short after 6 month trying to work with them I ended up looking at other dealers further away and they didn’t want to match the offer the my local dealer gave me so I started looking at other brands and ultimately ended up buying Massey Ferguson 1825e. I liked the tractor but it was the dealers and their desire to please me through out the buying process made a decision for me. I now had done some service with them and I can honestly say that even though Massey was not my first choice it ended up being the perfect choice for me because how good their dealers are around me.

I had a bobcat tractor for 2 years with a cab. Amazing machine with almost no problems. I had one problem with a seal fail. Bobcat handled it right away and replaced it free of charge. I think bobcat is a great brand. They have deals where you can get a FREE loader with your tractor. I traded my tractor for one without a cab because trees and glass windows don’t like each other and I have a lot of trees. I don’t think any other brand can match bobcat and Deere.

ive noticed in our small town that the local boat sales place stared selling lawn mowers a few years back, now they sell bobcat tractors. the point is this is a boat place that back filled cause of loss of sales during covid. i would not expect that they are going to be good at service for these tractors.

This kind of thing infuriates me. We work hard to build a trustful and lasting relationship with the customer. We want him to come back and think about us when he needs a piece of equipment. We are offering support and guidance when he needs it. Then comes a dealer that doesn't care about all this. That's sad

I’m an AG mechanic and I will not buy a new tractor. I’ve seen way too many problems with new ones. I would rather fix up and older machine that has proven itself.

The biggest thing I've seen is a lack of good technicians since the pandemic. They seemed to have disappeared.

@@GoodWorksTractors I agree that is also a problem. I can’t tell you how many brand new machines I’ve unloaded off of trucks with oil leaks, hydraulic leaks, and loose bolts.

One of the main reasons I chose Kubota (b2650)was the call backs and customer service. I hit up Deere mahindra, etc but I never heard anything back, even after reaching out a few times. Acme/ Kubota in minot was on the ball. I’ve been pleased with my equipment and their customer service. I’ve bought another Kubota (l4760) a diamond c dump(14’) a Doolittle enclosed(14’) and previously a 25’ gooseneck. I’m planning on a 36 ft gooseneck this year. I guess those other dealers didn’t want my $ 🤷🏽‍♂️ I appreciate your videos and the rear blade I bought from your company. Thanks

We have an Acme close to me. How are they on being a diamond C dealer? I realize product knowledge is going to depend on the sales person, but did they seem to know trailers well?

I just bought a kioti cs2520. I dealt directly with the owner of the dealership, and even his father (who started the dealership). It’s nice to deal with the boss, so that if something is in dispute or an issue arises, the buck can’t be passed to anyone else.

I bought a problem tractor from a problem dealer. It was a nightmare. The dealer ultimately bought back the tractor. I'm typically a quiet man, apparently I got loud enough. Under Bidenomics, a modern tractor is now unobtanium. I run a 1951 Ford 8n. The old girl still kicks backside. I can still get parts. I wish I could get a ROPS...

That’s nuts that guy has to go thru all that. Here’s my thinking if a guy walks into my business and pays cash for a product I’m selling I’m going to do what ever i can do to make that guy happy because later on he may need another piece and he will come back. As for the company bobcat I would be checking every web page for anything bad about my product and trying to help or figure out why this or take is breaking

I have a Bobcat CT5558 and I have a great dealer. After researching the local dealerships, I feel like I selected the right dealership and the tractor has been great for me.

So when my wife and I were shopping tractors, we stopped by the local Branson tractor dealer. Them folks called us every other day for months. That dealership then started selling LS tractors. Now they sell Bobcat. They transitioned between these three brands in less than a year. There isn't a red tractor on their lot, only a handful of blues, and they're pushing the white ones hard. Funny thing, my wife works for a local parts house, and they've had to start carrying lots of bits and bobs for foreign tractors. Sure glad I bought a John Deere.

I'm so old that my first Bobcat in the 60s didn't even have a roll cage! Model 600 with a 30 h.p. Wisconsin gas engine. Owned many Bobcats in my life, and have nothing but good to say about them.

The idea of trying another dealership is a good one, although it does depend on there being a *good* dealer within a workable distance. When I've had issues with products, I've contacted either the Better Business Bureau or my state's Attorney General's office (which in most states is the dept. where the "consumer affairs" or similar division is located.) In this case, with a higher-priced item like this tractor, if trying another dealer doesn't work out, I'd skip the BBB and start with his state's consumer affairs department.

Same story here. Bought a Bobcat L23 September 2022 100% for snow removal. Wouldn't float and the blower barely dumped snow out. If you engaged float you couldn't get the machine to go in a straight line. Dealer came out and basically said maybe it will get better in really cold weather (put my BX23S next to it which was throwing the same snow half way across the yard while the bobcat barely spit it out). Zero support from the dealer after that. Called Bobcat corporate and no one would even return my call (I was being extremely patient). Avoid Bobcat at all costs! Have had zero issues with both of my BX23S machines.

Great customer service is number one in my book. I would have contacted the manufacturer directly and have them put the pressure on the dealer. In N.J. it's considered a LEMON when the same problem happens 3 times .

I totally agree on choosing a good dealership. I happily drive an hour to get my Ranger serviced at a great dealership vs the 20mins to the other dealer near by. Worth every mile.

I think this is a prime example of why not to buy tractor being supplied by a company who doesn't manufacture the components in it. Bobcat makes the loader for that model, but it's a Kioti/Daedong tractor. When his dealer communicates to Bobcat, they're not talking to the people who actually have access to engineers/techs who are involved in that engine. He'd have better luck at A Kioti dealer, but unfortunately Kioti won't pay the warranty on a Bobcat tractor. As a Kioti dealer, I can communicate with techs at Kioti corporate, who can send out field service techs, who can communicate directly with the people who manufacture the engines. We're able to diagnose and fix problems more quickly this way, and the field data goes straight to the manufacturing facility where they're able to make necessary changes and correct future problems. Kioti, Kubota, John Deere (kind of), TYM, Mahindra (kind of), are on the short list of manufacturers who actually build the product they sell.

Communication with the engineers is important. I would think any brand these days has access to engineering support. That would be part of the sales pitch in selling your brand to dealers.

@@GoodWorksTractors Probably, but how many lines of communication is Bobcat going to go through to move that information back and forth compared to one of the brands who are making it themselves? Dealer support is key, but that dealer support also relies on manufacturer support. Unfortunately it's the norm in the tractor world now (especially with the great 2021 money printing sales bonanza) for companies to pop up and start selling a tractor they've ultimately just painted their color. They do okay in the good years, but they very rarely last in the bad years, and then the customer is left completely out in the cold. It's a weird industry.

That's only less than 2 hrs a day based on a 5 day workweek. That's not alot at all. But I will say with the issues he's had it sounds like he is really rough on equipment.

Going to another dealership for an opinion definitely. Being it's got some hours and a year in so some stall tactic to get away from doing something. I've actually had a lemon but I had the service manager of the dealer on my side refused to work on it anymore and went to corporate and got my money back. It still took over a year and tried to set terms for keeping me in the brand. But after much back and forth Case refunded me 85 percent of purchase price. Then I went to Kubota all at same dealership..

I bought a 2020 ct2540 in January 2021. Like the person y’all are talking about I to paid cash. There are 160 hours on this tractor and it’s been back to the dealer multiple times. Because I don’t have an equipment trailer so I have to pay for the dealer to pick up and drop off each time. One of the first issues I had was when the dealer dropped it off it had over 30 hours on it (the battery had been removed when I say it on the lot due to cold weather. First red flag). Which sorta pissed me off because the dealer said it was new, probably trivial, whatever. The second thing that happened had to due with hydraulic and it was leaking really bad. They came picked it up dropped it off “fixed” but now the loader settles when running and off. Which in turn the dealers answer was “really”. They offered to come and pick it up again and fix it. They charge me 130 dollar one way for pickup or dropping off. When Bobcat sells these tractors they need to include an equipment trailer with each purchase. I continue to have issues such as parts falling off because screws where not tight. This winter after plowing I had 3 lug nuts fall out 2 on one tire one on the other. The bolts that hold the loader on come loose. The shifting linkage fell apart one day and I didn’t find all the parts for it I took a picture of the issue and brought it to the dealer, He gave me a nut and bolt and showed me a picture from the repair book on how it goes together. To this day it still shifts like crap and I swear there are pieces of linkage missing the dealer didn’t give me. I am literately scared to use this thing for fear of it breaking down. I’m trading in this lemon for a Kubota this spring before anything else bad happens to it. What a pos.

I just went through similar issue with New Holland in Dorr Michigan. Had a 2022 Boomer 40 with 52 hours and issue wouldn't steer right when using loader or even having bucket on loader. Dealer had it 6 months replaced orbital valve and steering ram no fix. Jerry rigged washers behind the orbital relief valve to increase pressure. Then they basically said its fixed as good as it will be I'll just have to deal with it and the sales guy even suggested not use loader and it will drive fine. After that 6 months of fighting with dealer and new holland they finally bought the tractor back for what I paid for it new with the 10 year warranty. Finally got a replacement from a different dealer stepped up to Boomer 55 at a better deal than they were trying to give me saying it was cost on the tractor. Got it over $5,000 less at another dealer. Dealership did nothing more than jack me around and give me a run around so will not be doing business with them anymore. Sucks but some places are like that

I went through a similar experience with CNH. Long story short, I was without my tractor 6+ months- after going through every channel I could they finally gave me a new tractor. A terrible experience that could have been made better if the dealer had been any good....

The Bobcat dealer in Saucier, MS is great! I was going to buy a CT2025 at a great price but wanted to see the lift capacity. They loaded 1,200lbs of 5 gallon oil buckets on a pallet to check the true lift capacity. I wasn’t pleased with the outcome but everyone thought it was hilarious running the “Myth Busters” live version😂😂😂. They’re selling me the CT2035 now, a great bunch of guys🙂🙂🙂

These things aren't made for 500 hours per year - they are made for the 50-100 hr per year person. If the owner isn't tightening the bolts I suspect there is an expectation gap between a person vehicle and an agricultural vehicle. At 500 hours that is over 60 sessions with the grease gun - or about every 5 days and the same with the socket set - or by 300 hours the impact gun! Watch one of the big farm channels and just watch how much maintenance they do that isn't "warranty". Also just gone through the video to look at the few shots of the tractor - no-one takes the loader assembly off unless there is a major repair. and for grease applied every 5 days it doesn't look like it has grease everywhere. If in doubt about the weld on the load remove the hydraulic lines, sand it and get a mobile welder in and move on with life. Shouldn't cost that much and less if you can take the loader arm to the welder. If first tractor - buy a cheaper one, figure out what you are doing, then buy a second one that is appropriate. A tractor is very average at doing lots of things but is way cheaper than buying a range of equipment each very good at one thing - but from experience you will break your tractor doing this. Most stuff you will get good at replacing (circlips and front seals are my mortal enemy!) and others will require shop repairs.

Loader was removed due to dealers request on it coming into the shop, as far as grease? Things seem more grease then a machine double it’s age, i have a desalt battery operated grease gun

I really like my bobcat skid loader. Thankfully I really haven't had to deal with the dealership. Bobcat can be goofy with their sales people. They have a weird territory thing where if you live in a dealer's territory, you are strongly pushed to use that dealership even if you hate them.

I can confirm Bobcat’s policies on territory. They are VERY strict and carve up exclusive areas. Makes them tough to deal with at times.

Anytime a company is in and out of producing tractors or mowers its a huge red flag for me. I recently started a sales job for john deere and its hard to convey that idea to customers. They see the cheaper price tag and immediately jump on it. Bottom line is you get what you pay for.

GWT bought the Stump Wrecker a few weeks ago & it looks pretty tough However I'm in Arkansas & it hasn't stopped raining long enough for me to abuse it... soon really soon 🤓 To my question... I have a lot of small trees 2"- 4" a lot of thorny vines growing up trees & tons of underbrush.... I can bush hog a lot, but I need to push pickup & move tons of small trees, brush, etc... Just bought my tractor a month ago & and am trying to be cost-effective. I'm looking at buying a "Bucketeer." I was in the dealership world for 20 years. Warranty work, at least then, was paid at a high discount by the manufacturer. For example, we had to purchase the parts at normal cost, pay freight, pay employees to handle them, and then got paid cost from the manufacturer. Usually about 4 - 6 months later. Labor was paid at a highly discounted rate. If a loader that was sold with the tractor needed to be removed to perform the warranty work, the time to remove the loader usually wouldn't be covered. If other parts needed to be replaced at the same time, the manufacturer would often deny the claim for additional parts. The paperwork to file a warranty claim was excessive. Claims were sometimes rejected seemingly for minor errors in the paperwork. For example - an incorrect delivery date on the original invoice, even though either the correct or incorrect date (off by 2 days!!) were not even close to the warranty expiration date. I can't say that all manufacturers were the same, but we dealt with a number of manufacturers and most were similiar. This was a number of years ago, things may have changed, but I would be willing to bet they have not changed dramaticaly for the better. I hope that this person can get their problem resolved in a satisfactory manner.

I went through nearly two years and 160 hrs of hell with Kioti (Manchester Motors and their Topsham location in Maine). Worst experience of my life. I think I shared my story in previous videos but everything went wrong. In the first year I had it, it was either back and the dealer or I couldn't use it 4 of those months. Pathedic company and even worse dealership! They took their frustration of their product out on me personally. I know how this guy feels. Since Bobcat is a Kioti, this doesn't surprise me. Yes, the dealership can make or break, but Kioti/Bobcat is just as responsible for those who represent them.

I bought a kioti 2022 Ck 3510 se with loader. The loader would not stay up and dropped running or not. It was aggravating. The dealer replaced the loader valve but was mad that i was upset about it. It was The Tractor place in knightdale NC. I should have stayed with Kubota.

I'm with the other people that have said go to a different dealer. Call first and see if they will take over warranty work first though. Some might not take work already started by a different dealer. I would also bypass the dealer network with his complaint and call the higher ups, bad press is frowned upon anywhere. It might take a few words from much higher up for this dealer to realize they needed the work done in a much more timely manner.

Sure, dealers get paid for warranty work; however it is not a lot. The manufacturer decides how long the repair takes and there's no arguing with it. Sometimes they don't pay as much per hour as the mechanic gets paid per hour. These details, and sometimes others, can result in the dealerships not having their costs covered.

Just bought a new deere 5075e. Shopped all the brands for months. The kioti was only 2k less and only two dealers within 100 miles. Can’t fathom not buying a green or orange with that little of price difference. My dealer United ag comes to me if anything goes wrong, even came and and picked it up for a purely cosmetic thing. 10 years from now guarantee I’ll be able to get parts easily. Ls? A dealer had one listed for sale on Facebook marketplace that they couldn’t even fix themselves. Saving money will cost you later, especially in resell. Financing??? Green and orange are zero precent. There is no competition, anything you save on off brands you pay in interest too

A couple additional points to add..... Supply and demand are other huge factors when buying a $20-$80k piece of equipment. When John Deere dealerships were almost completely bare during the height of supply issues, dealerships with Mahindra, Kioti, and Ls had multiple tractors with a wide range of hp. With no Kubota dealerships with 85 miles, it was not feasible for yearly service and issues when they won't travel to our area. This just leaves the few local JD, LS, Kioti, and Mahindra options. Unfortunately, our local Deere dealerships have proved their incompetence between small mowers up to $500,000 harvesters. It has gotten to the point where local farmers will pay absurd service fees for dealerships over 70 miles away to fix equipment. This is now a big problem when you now have to transport your new Deere equipment 70 miles to a competent service center because you can't shell out thousands for a single service call. So at this point, the safer option is Mahindra, Ls, or Kioti.

@@jcsengines446 ya it all depends on the local dealer. Here northeast of Dallas deere, kubota or new Holland are the only solid dealers. New Holland was 6k more and 6% financing. I’m lucky United ag deere dealers are every 15 miles all directions from me and fully stocked with all parts. I’ve broke two things on my own not tractors fault and they had them instock and gave it to me free. Giant Branson/tym isn’t too far but not paying 90% of kubota or deere for those. Resell isn’t in the same galaxy. The off brands are fine but need to be significantly cheaper. They can’t compete on financing either, so can’t fathom even paying 50% of what a green or orange cost. Resell is so crazy on deere here, at 100 hours a year mine will be worth what I paid or 95% in 7-10 years. I shopped them used for months too, was much cheaper going new with 0%

I would say that I have always stood by a company that has good customer service. The way that I see it is they could have a decent product, and outstanding customer service that will be the company that I use. If the company has excellent product and non existent customer service. Well that is the company that I will never use. The rationality being this, is that if a company can stand being the product and the support and treat the customer as the number one priority, that means that they understand they are only in business because of the customer base. I will stick with a company that like I said may have a subpar product with outstanding customer service over a company that would just push a customer aside and not deal with an issue. Always find a company that is willing to work with you. At the end of the day a good company is only as good as its customer base.

I have 2023 bobcat T770 with 400hours i was told it had Catastrophic Hydraulic, turbo, Engine failure. There not covering it. There saying it threw codes 68 times prior to failure. When the machine broke down I checked it had zero codes. Any advice?

Amigo, I work for Alta Equipment. I can tell you that Bobcat is owned by Doosan. I'd recommend he expands his search for Doosan people as well. They can help at least getting him to the right person at the big offices.

I have a bobcat ct2025, and it's has been great so far. The dealer was great. They periodically checked in with me for the first year via email or phone calls, making sure everything was good and letting me know they were there for support. Some dealers can give a product a bad name. All manufacturers have lemon machines. I know of atleaet to people with kubota machines that have had non-stop issues, but that doesn't mean they are a bad brand, just a lemon!!

Maybe he should lookup the lemon laws in his state. Maybe his state legislator could propose a change in the lemon law which every dealer might shame that dealer or get Bobcat Corporate to tow the line. He is using the tractor about 10 hours a week or 1.5 hours per day, which isn't bad for a moderate sized farm.

As a technician and Fleet Manager for 32 years,( not for Bobcat ), I can’t believe that the tractor left the dealer with that many problems. With the amount of hours put on the tractor in a short period of time and the number of problems it has, it sounds like abuse and maybe lack of proper maintenance. I’m not saying it is but based on my experience that’s what it sounds like. It also sounds like maybe the guy should have bought a much bigger tractor that can take the amount of work and punishment that he needs to give it for whatever job he is doing. The regen problems, almost every company that builds a modern Diesel engine, suffers problems from time to time. I hope the guy gets everything resolved and can get back to work and maybe upgrade to a much larger machine.

I had the same sort of issue with an New Holland T4.75 powerstar 2015 bought brand new it was delivered with 4 hours on it at about 6 hours it lost the radiator hose. hose clamp was not tight. if that was the only issue it would not been a problem, but it did not end there many electrical issues and oil / water leaks and lose bolts later bought/ delivered Dec 23 2015 along I would say that the dealership is this guys problem he needs to go and contact the headquarters of Bobcat. once I talked to the headquarters the dealership was made to step in line the owner of the dealership called me all kinds of names and yelled and threw a fit with me bypassing him. I am sure that NH Corp had words with the owner. I would buy another NH tractor because of how NH corp. handled this , just not from that dealer. we run Deere on our farm now just because I don't have dealer sport with NH close by.

I’ve had an issue in the past with a big named machine but was mainly pandemic parts delivery related. It did get resolved. A few comments…….. 1). It appears that he is using the tractor commercially with that many hours in a year….or bought too small of a tractor for the work he has to with it. Machines used in extremely tough work conditions require much much more Maintence and more frequent. 2). Has he performed the proper Maintence at the correct frequency…. I ALWAYS have the dealer perform the first several required full Maintence cycles due to the fact that they are much more knowledgeable with the entire machine and can spot things like loose bolts etc. lastly…. You and I both know that there are 2 ea sides to every coin and story. Not knowing the dealers side of this issue does give me pause. My experience is once you get to the right person/owner if there truly are issues 99.9% of the time they get resolved. My advice would be to get in contact with the actual owner of the dealership instead of the service folks at the location he is dealing with. This is a super tough one for sure and for sure has aTon of hair on it.

Bobcat, along with pretty much every other tractor mfg, includes commercial work in their warranties. Many times those terms change, but they still include commercial work. I'd have to imagine, they'd gladly jump at the opportunity to remove commercial work from their warranty language of they thought it was a high risk area. Can't speak to his maintenance routine. Doesn't matter if it's warranty or not. Why has it been over 4 months now? Could build a new tractor from scratch in less time than that :)

Though per the Bobcat tractor warranty statement….. the purchaser MUST declare if the unit is to be used for Commercial or Non Commercial use and of course the Bobcat warranty excludes all Abuse, air flow obstructions and any Accessory or attachment not approved by Bobcat or failure to maintain and use the Bobcat product as per the instructions applicable to the product….. which is a typical manufacturer statement in the industry…. The catch is the manufacturer is judge, jury and executioner when defining what abuse actually is……. Great conversation! I always learn something from you and you channel!! 👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥

I had a very similar experience with Bobcat on a UTV. They had machine for 4 months and called me twice to say, “come see if this runs right to you”. It didn’t, and it was so obviously “not fixed” I couldn’t believe they’d have me drive 2 hours with a trailer one way to pick it up. I cancelled a Bobcat E42R2 order I had and swore I’d never buy another Bobcat. I’m Kubota thru and thru now…

If your going to put that many hours a year on something you NEED to buy something commercial grade, and I wouldn't call that machine up to par.. A Deere or a Kubota would likely hold up better to that much use... And of course a dealer is Incredibly important to keeping your equipment going

Isn’t bobcat a rebranded kioti or mahindra? I know they don’t make their own just can’t remember what manufacture! I think a lot of problems now days are knowledge of the dealerships and techs! I worked at a local Ford dealership for 5 years as a heavy line tech! We had a great reputation even being a dealership ….our crew at the time was great! Every field covered from electrical to heavy work! Most everything we took on was fixed within a week unless it was a back order or a strange problem with warrantee repair! (Wait for authorization) Now days it’s all the above on top of techs not trained and management not knowing proper procedures! Nothing gets done but pissing off a customer!

Being a former (retired) used & full service auto dealer specializing only in VW TDI diesels, I think contacting Steve Lehto is a good idea however, I sorta kinda think a tractor issue may fall under the realm of RV's regarding such not having the same statutes in lemon law as in autos or trucks. I'm thinking state's AG may be the way to go and it would be imperative to keep very thorough records including logs of each & every phone conversation with such dealer. I'm guessing this dealer or the actual mfg. may have performed a breach in the warranty contract in some manner which may be discovered by Lehto during an hour or two session for discovery along with assistance in completing the application process for the AG.

I bought my first tractor, a used Mahindra, 2 years ago from an individual, not a dealership, no warranty. The 2 times I've had to go to the local dealer that handles this brand, once for service and once for parts, I was disappointed. After 2 weeks they hadn't even looked at it, so I took it home and worked on it myself. I ordered a part, not in stock and unique so a generic part wouldn't work, 2 months later they didn't know who I was and had no part ordered for me. I went online and found the part that way. If I knew how bad the service was, I would never have bought that brand. Great tractor, lousy local dealer.

I went with bobcat because at the time they were the only company doing 0% for 84 months. Free money. Anyway, the dealer I dealt with has been pretty good but it has taken some work. My pto was in 3 times before they finally fixed it. The sales team clearly was more interested in selling me a skid steer but whatever. That forum post misrepresented the recent history of bobcat tractors.

So, how does this apply to the Summit Tractor line that's slowly being rolled out across the US? There is no dealership, it's made by a 3rd party tractor company and the recommended service provider really has no skin in the game because they didn't sell the tractor to me. I'm honestly interested in the Summit brand and what they have to offer. However, seeing a video like this scares me a bit! Thoughts?

Good question. Summit really isn't a third party company in the traditional sense. ITL builds these tractors specifically for Summit. In fact, Summit leadership was just at the ITL factory going over all processes, new products in development, and so on. So, they incredibly hands on with the entire process from concept through finished product. While the base tractor shares similarities with others ITL produces, it's unique to Summit. This should provide reassurance to prospective buyers that it's not a brand new, unproven model. It has years of successful history behind it. Summit just improved upon it and made it their own. Dealerships are old school. Anyone can sell you a tractor. I have proven that by selling tractors online all over the country for years. I'm not a traditional dealer. What matters is someone who can offer good service. Summit has thought long and hard about that as it's a huge component of their network. There is a nationwide network of mechanics already in existence. These companies are trained to service the brands they represent. Summit has provided this same training for their products and has the same kind of relationship with these servicing centers. As they roll out into new areas, they repeat the process within that region. Not only that, but many of these servicing techs are mobile, so they can often come to you as well. When something is sold in a new way, there are always questions. However, Summit has been working on this for years prior to launch. There really isn't a stone left unturned with their plan.

At 13 I had a small IH tractor My dad helped me convert the drive for speed. I can attest after using it as an off road vehicle , it will jump, it will climb, it will wheelie and pull 10 kids on skateboards at 40MPH! It will also wheelie end over end when climbing! Smashing the cab off and all the exterior to bits as it rolls down the hill. Fastest convertible conversion ever! Its the first time I saw my dad freaking out in fear over me almost dieing lolz! someone told him and he came roaring ayt 100Mph into the fields where we were riding. Many more near deaths were to come pops, I decided to go pro at motocross! Mwa Ha Ha , sorry!

Last September I bought a new John Deere cabbed 5065 small issues here and there and issues with the dealership I recently got a survey from John Deere asking about the dealership and the tractor and I let them have it and in the end of the survey I told him I wish I would have never bought the tractor and they can either fix it or give me my money back and come pick up the tractor still haven't heard anything from them

Bobcat dealers suck when it comes to service. I’m pretty sure all of them do. They have it to easy and not held accountable. They are good at selling them but once they got you, they don’t get to worked up over getting you back up and running. If I was looking for a career change I would go work at a bobcat dealer, they are super laid back and you won’t have to worry about over doing it.

I have a 2020 Bobcat CT2040 and have been very happy with it. Having said that I also lost a drain plug in the front axle and found several loose bolts when I did the 50 hr service. I was a little disappointed Bobcat made me pay for the new plug and didn’t pay for the fluid that was lost.

Warranty work is not work most dealers welcome. The dealer gets the short end of the stick in most warranty. NO money is made. Warranty work is not a revenue option for the dealer. Money is lost on every claim when you figure in the entire picture. However, any dealer is generally authorized to work on their brand, regardless of whether it was purchased or not. And if they truly support the brand, they will accept warranty work and if they treat the customer well through that process, there’s a good chance that customer will return to do business with them again or word of mouth will bring more customers to that dealer.

There are two sides (at least) to every story. My local, small-town dealership used to sell Mahindra. When customers started having problems he would fix the problem, but then couldn't get reimbursed by Mahindra for the work he'd done. He finally told Mahindra to go pound sand.

The dealership he is working with. Did not do a good PDI. And his regeneration trouble might be someone put diesel in the Def tank . Seen it happen a lot especially with novice operater. And maybe he bought to small of equipment for the job he is doing.

Tractors under 70 HP do not use DEF. There is no DEF tank on that tractor.

@@garymeyer3294 that may be a problem coming truck's had lots of issues until the went to Def. I am a heavy equipment mechanic for a living.

As a Bobcat dealer, this is so frustrating to hear. Bobcat Company has an incredible amount of resources available to help dealers solve problems like this. This dealer is clearly not making a good effort to help remedy the situation, and now they are tarnishing the brand by their poor customer service . To the owner, please find another dealer, or contact Bobcat corporate to get some resolution, and hopefully give the dealer an earful.

Things can get tricky when you slap your top tier and respected brand name onto a Kioti product and call it good. Good to hear you guys would do a much better job sorting out the customer though.

Thats such a simple test that anyone working on engines needs to be able to do! Like it's one of the first things to test to be able to tell if there's any engine damage!

I'd like to see the machine and HOW the owner operates it. The issues he's had is usually from abuse.

Loose bolts and cracked welds at 500 hrs fall into maintenance issues imo. Its a cheaper model compact tractor made for homeowner use, If you use it like a skidsteer or a bulldozer daily, its going to show its weak points pretty quick. That said the Regen issues should absolutely be fixed under warranty, no one asked for government juice.

Dealer definitely sounds a little inept, however he’s obviously abusing the machine too. Tie rods don’t just break for no reason, neither do loader welds. I think both are at fault… It honestly sounds like a legitimate case of not having bought enough machine in terms of size and capacity. I totally and completely agree with buying what’s in your budget with cash. I did it with a house. But in some situations it’s more important to get what is going to suit your needs than save a buck…

Ya, I agree with you, 500 hours in under a year, that's a lot of work. The crack on the loader and broken tie rod would make me think he was probably overloading his machine a bit. Maybe he wasn't and he just has a machine built on Friday like Courtney said but man that's a lot of hours for under a year. I'd be willing to bet the dealer is thinking the same thing, although they could also be just a crap dealer and in that case should definitely try another bobcat dealer. If he still gets no resolution then get an attorney to help him fight or trade it for a different brand and take the hit to the wallet just to get away from it, either way he's going to be shelling out more money.

@@GoodWorksTractors Could be a number of things. I’ve been a diesel mechanic for almost 20 years. And I can promise you machines feel neglect the same way a child does. I’ve worked on brand new trucks that were nothing but problems because the owners didn’t care about them. And also 40 year old trucks you’d think were brand new because the owners loved the machine and take care of it.

The tractor belongs to my neighbor and that is not the case. He actually needs a smaller tractor for the yard work he does. I have witnessed this from day one and it is a complete piece of crap.

Bobcat doesn't partner with good dealers. My local dealer (Bobcat of Fishersville) has a 3.9 rating. Not good considering Mahindra and Yanmar are both 4.7. JD is 4.5, Kubota and New Holland are 4.3, Kioti is 4.2. The Bobcat techs don't seem to have a clue what they're doing and their sales team doesn't know/understand their products.
