I thought he was a bit cheesy when I first saw him, but he grows on you. He’s really trying to help the people in front of him and he gives some nice complements to the lawyers too.

One of my favorite Judge Fleisher moments was when he told the drag racing kid that Texas could now seize cars for this, and he asked the kid "Do you like your truck? How would you like it if they seize it and make a manhole cover out of it" 😂😂😂

Having lost 4 friends and 2 cousins to drunk drivers, I'm right there with that judge. Especially now, with things like Uber, there is no excuse for drunk driving.

I am impressed with Lawyer Darla. Lounging in her chair swatting the kids away all while trying to vouch for her client, while listening to the judge, and in the middle of all that muting to swear at the kids that weren't listening. Well Done Darla!!!

I like fleischer a great deal.. however where he is policy is leaning towards PR bonds with monitoring in lieu of jail time especially for low income defendants. Like it or not,, with jail overcrowding many more jurisdictions will be going in this direction.

The bond system is there for them to guarantee they come back for the actual court date - not as a punishment on it's own. He gets random checks and lost his privilege to drive and he's adding the extra threat of contempt by having him sign - then he can take them off the streets at his own discretion instead of allowing a higher income defendant to have more liberties because of their income.

If a judge had taken past DUIs so seriously, maybe my stepfather would still be alive today. Instead a man on his 3 DUI blew a stop sign and my mom is a widow. If only the drunks hurt themselves instead of innocent victims.

I love Judge Fleischer. He has a very hard and aggressive tone, but still manages to convey a genuine sense of caring. Side note: I’m watching this on iPhone and I had to retype Judge’s name four times because my phone tried autocorrecting Edit to add one comment: I have zero background in law. I just enjoy watching court videos for whatever reason. That said, please don’t take my opinions as an attempt at my expressing support for any given law or practice, corrupt or not. My opinions are predominantly uneducated ones :)

As much as I’m impressed with him there’s been a few times his “caring” was too lenient and disappointed me. A couple DUI’s need jailed. That would doesn’t volumes to the defendant rather then the bond. I don’t care how over crowded it is. It is what it is. I’m thinking at some point more nails will need built.

They should go to jail, then immigration will put a hold on them and investigate. I am so tired of seeing how many people in court because they break the law are in our country illegally. I think as soon as they are found guilty they should be booted out of this fine country. Alot of the illegals in courts that I watch are caught with dwi, usually their 2nd or 3rd.

As someone who lives in Harris County I’m neither surprised nor impressed that we lead the nation with DWIs. A girl from our local high school to me was walking home from school at 2:30pm a few months ago and was hit and killed by a drunk driver. It was his 4th offense!

Looks like we know where to go on Fridays. I need to visit his court one day. I live in Harris county. I used to count the number of drunk and high drivers on the way home. The largest number I had was 8.
