Area sales managers are responsible for smaller areas and territories, for example, a part of the city, or a district. It depends on the industry. Some area sales managers also have reporters who are called area sales representatives. A Regional Sales Manager is a Senior Level role in the Sales organization. Regional Sales Managers look after a bigger area, for example- a state or two small states. Area Sales managers report to Regional Sales Managers.

Go for AWS, Google cloud certifications. Cloud certifications will help you in long term. Full time Online MBA/ Executive MBA is also good. I don't advise distance MBA. courses.
