The White House is under fire for sending one of Trump’s Russia probe lawyers to a Department of Justice meeting about Trump’s conspiracy theory that the FBI infiltrated his 2016 campaign without evidence. Special Counsel to 3 congressional investigations, John Flannery, tells Ari Melber Trump and his allies are seeking to “discredit” the Mueller probe, and “that is an outrage, that's a shame and a disgrace, I think it's unethical, I think it may be criminal”.

I am not a historian or a law expert but the Government should have checks and balances where one branch can't overpower the other branches. Somehow it looks like this is happening. I know if you are not guilty you should have no problem opening up about the facts and not having any issue with talking. Seems there is a lot of dodging and hiding going on on the Trump side. The more this happens the more guilty people appear.

SteveBern they're tearing the country apart. You know that. Obviously the U.S. doesn't have the same problems as those 2 countries. But where's the rule of law? Who's in control of the country? (Also don't get personal, it says more about who you are than who I am). The U.S. government is for sale in the same way that Stormy Daniels was for sale a few years ago. If the president has been compromised then it starts to look like a failed state. I want the Trump administration to take responsibility. That's never going to happen. By whatever means possible, he needs to leave the White House. There is no "spin" here...no "fake news"...this is the truth.

I think the DOJ did this brilliantly. They complied with the presidents request and these idiots stuck their necks out again. They just keep incriminating themselves. The case just gets more and more solid.

I so hope that you are right. I can't imagine that Rod Rosenstein would actually share all the information he had or even any real information. It would make more sense for him to be perceived to be pushed around by the President and have that result in a charge of obstruction against the President. At least that's how I pray this all works out in the end.

Sneaking Donald's lead defense attorney and chief of staff into the Gang of 8 and other meeting is criminal. Congress needs to take punitive action on Flood, Kelly and Donald for this illegal action. I think the Gang also should have refused to allow Flood and Kelly into the meeting chambers for any reason whatsoever. Get some guts, folks!

If the president's lawyer is allowed to crash a meeting to find out what evidence the justice department has against his client, then why should not any criminal, murderer, bank robber etc have the right for his lawyer to see there evidence to help with there case.
